Background: Colchicine has been approved to reduce cardiovascular risk in patients with coronary heart disease on the basis of its potential benefits demonstrated in the COLCOT (Colchicine Cardiovascular Outcomes Trial) and LoDoCo2 (Low-Dose Colchicine 2) studies. Nevertheless, there are limited data available about the specific impact of colchicine on coronary plaques.
Methods: This was a prospective, single-center, randomized, double-blind clinical trial.

The effect of thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) on macrophage-derived foam cell formation and the underlying mechanism were studied. Macrophages isolated from C57BL/6 mice were co-cultured in vitro with different concentrations of TSLP or TSLPR-antibody in the presence of oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL). The effects of TSLP on macrophage-derived foam cell formation were observed by using oil red O staining and intracellular lipid determination.

Aim: To explore effects of FOXP3 on the progression of atherosclerosis plaque in hypercholesterolemic apoliprotein(apo)E-/- mice.
Methods: At 8 weeks of age, 32 male ApoE-/- mice were randomly divided into four groups of eight. Labeled: negative control group, positive control group, small interfering RNA (siRNA) group, and regulatory T cells transfer (Tregs) group.
The migration and transformation of nitrogen were studied in a high-rate algal pond (HRAP) treating domestic wastewater. Total nitrogen varied from 17.13 mg/L to 133.
