Holographic multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) method leverages spatial diversity to enhance the performance of wireless communications and is expected to be a key technology enabling for high-speed data services in the forthcoming sixth generation (6G) networks. However, the antenna array commonly used in the traditional massive MIMO cannot meet the requirements of low cost, low complexity and high spatial resolution simultaneously, especially in higher frequency bands. Hence it is important to achieve a feasible hardware platform to support theoretical study of the holographic MIMO communications.

However, its role in the era of chemoimmunotherapy remains underexplored. In the current era of immunotherapy, this study evaluated the efficacy and safety of consolidative TRT (cTRT) in patients with extensive-stage SCLC (ES-SCLC) and assessed its impact on OS.

Here, we propose a label-free photoelectrochemical (PEC) sensor for the detection of Mb through target regulated the photoactivity of AgS/FeOOH heterojunction. The AgS/FeOOH nanospindles were synthesized and served as a sensing platform for the fabrication of bio-recognized process for Mb.

This study evaluated the impact of polysaccharides derived from Cynanchum auriculatum Royle ex Wight (CRP) on mitigating hyperglycemia and modulating intestinal microbiota in T2DM mice. Findings indicated that CRP is mainly linked by →6)α-D-Glcp-(1→ and CRP-H demonstrated greater efficacy than CRP-L in regulating hypoglycemic-related indicators such as serum high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c) level.

Background: Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common cardiac arrhythmia around the world with an increased risk of a broad spectrum of adverse comorbidities and death. Whether cardiovascular health (CVH) is associated with AF development remains unclear.
Methods: 238,420 participants without cardiovascular disease at baseline were selected from the UK Biobank study cohort from 2006 to 2010.
Objective: To explore the effects of lifestyle interventions on the prevention of type 2 diabetes (T2D) and reversion to normoglycemia by prediabetes phenotype.
Methods: We searched MEDLINE, Embase, and the Cochrane Library for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that evaluated the effects of lifestyle interventions in adults with prediabetes for a minimum duration of one year. Two reviewers independently screened articles, extracted data, and performed quality assessment.
In the pursuit of equitable diabetes care, international knowledge exchange (iKE) serves as a crucial mechanism for narrowing the gaps in quality within and between countries. Little is known about the process of quality measurement exchange among stakeholders from high-income countries (HICs), low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), and international organizations. This study aims to analyze recent international exchanges of quality measures in diabetes care and propose a framework for enhancing quality, focusing on LMICs.

So far, tremendous efforts are devoted to tailoring interfaces, while atomic-scale reaction mechanisms and the related nanoscale strain at the electrochemical interface receive less attention. Here, the underlying atomic-scale reaction mechanisms and the associated nanoscale strain at the electrochemical alloy interface are investigate, using gold-zinc alloy protective layer as a model system.

Methods: In this study, a mouse model of T2DM was established by feeding a high-fat/sucrose diet combined with injecting a low dose of streptozotocin. The aim of this study was to analyze the regulatory effect of Suaeda salsa extract (SSE) on T2DM and its effect on the intestinal flora of mice.
Background & Aims: Surgery combined with chemotherapy remains the mainstay of treatment for advanced epithelial ovarian cancer. It is important to evaluate the occurrence of postoperative complications before operation and to prevent them. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of sarcopenia diagnosed by CT scans in predicting postoperative complications in patients with ovarian cancer.

Here, we determined if YKL-40 regulates kynurenine (Kyn) pathway (KP) metabolism that contributes to establishing an immune suppressive microenvironment in GB.
Methods: Tumor cells expressing YKL-40 from GB patients were isolated and activated cellular metabolisms were identified via gene microarray analysis.
Background: The best open side for unilateral open-door laminoplasty (UODL) to treat inconsistent cervical ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL) needs to be identified.
Methods: Thirty-one individuals with inconsistent OPLL who underwent UODL between January 2016 and December 2018 were retrospectively divided into two groups: when the side of the open door was consistent with the side of the larger ossification occupancy area, patients were placed in the Consistent group; when the side of the open door was contralateral to the side of the larger ossification occupancy area, patients were placed in the Contralateral group. The following parameters were evaluated: neck disability index (NDI) score, Japanese Orthopaedic Association (JOA) score, visual analog scale (VAS) score, postoperative laminoplasty opening width and angle, and spinal cord diameter ratio.
Background: Recently, International Diabetes Federation position statement has adopted one-hour post-load glucose (1hPG) ≥ 8.6 mmol/L for diagnosing intermediate hyperglycemia. We aimed to assess the association of 1hPG ≥ 8.

Objective: To evaluate the long-term outcomes of a system-integrated technology-enabled model of care (SINEMA intervention) for stroke management for systolic blood pressure (BP) and other outcomes among patients with stroke in China.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This long-term follow-up included community-dwelling clinically stable surviving participants with stroke in an open-label cluster randomized clinical trial.
Multimorbidity is significantly associated with life quality decline, disability, and increased mortality risk. Additionally, it leads to greater consumption of healthcare resources, presenting substantial challenges to healthcare systems globally. To better assess the burden of multimorbidity, its impact on patient health outcomes and healthcare services, and to explore the underlying mechanisms in its development, this paper summarizes the existing methods used for measuring and analyzing multimorbidity in research and practice, including disease count, disease-weighted indices, multimorbidity pattern recognition (such as disease association analysis, clustering analysis, and network analysis) and longitudinal methods to provide references for the accurate assessment of the prevalence of multimorbidity and its changes and improve the validity and universality of research findings.

Understanding the physical and chemical processes at the interfaces of metals and topological insulators is crucial for the development of the next generation of topological quantum devices. Here, we report the discovery of robust superconductivity in Pd/BiSe bilayers fabricated by sputtering Pd on the surface of BiSe. Through transmission electron microscopy measurements, we identify that the observed interfacial superconductivity originates from the diffusion of Pd into BiSe.
