Investigating the Link Between Abdominal Pain, Weight Loss, and IgG4-Related Pancreatitis: A Case Report.

This case report describes a 55-year-old male who presented with a two-year history of abdominal pain and weight loss, along with recent onset nausea, vomiting, and anorexia. Laboratory tests revealed elevated serum IgG4 levels and anemia, and abdominal CT showed diffuse pancreatic enlargement and multiple retroperitoneal lymphadenopathy. Endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration of the pancreatic mass revealed dense lymphoplasmacytic infiltration with fibrosis and increased numbers of IgG4-positive plasma cells, consistent with the diagnosis of IgG4-related pancreatitis.

COVID-19 associated mucormycosis: A case report in Pakistan and a review of 144 cases.

Mucormycosis is the third most common mycosis in order of its importance as a human pathogen, occurrence of which has become more frequent around the world. Although not proven as a causal association, the increased number of cases has been attributed to Covid-19, the rampant use of corticosteroids, and diabetes. We report the case of a 53-year-old male with mucormycosis related to a Covid-19 infection as the novel case from Pakistan and discuss its epidemiology, diagnostic principles, and management.

Frequency of behavioural tendencies resembling attention-deficit hyperactivity disorders in undergraduate medical students: a cross sectional study.

Objective: To determine the frequency of behavioural tendencies resembling attention deficit hyperactivity disorders in undergraduate medical students.

Methods: The descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted from January 2017 to November 2018 at the Army Medical College, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, and comprised medical students from four medical institutions in the twin cities of Rawalpindi-Islamabad. Data was collected using the Adult attention deficit hyperactivity disorder Self-report scale V1.
