This study aimed to develop a neoantigen hydrogel vaccine (NPT-gels) with high clinical feasibility and further investigate its efficacy and antitumor molecular mechanisms in combination with immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) for the treatment of liver metastases.
Methods: The effects of liver metastasis on survival and intratumor T-cell subpopulation infiltration in patients with advanced tumors were investigated using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) database and immunofluorescence staining, respectively.
Background: Enhancer of zeste 2 polycomb repressive complex 2 subunit (EZH2) is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma, promoting tumorigenesis and correlating with poor prognosis. Traditional histopathological examinations are insufficient to accurately predict hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) survival; however, pathomics models can predict EZH2 expression and HCC prognosis. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between pathomics features and EZH2 expression for predicting overall survival of patients with HCC.

The clinical presentation of patients with IUD displacement into the bladder is frequently vague and non-specific, posing a challenge for timely and accurate diagnosis. This report details the case of a patient who presented with an IUD malpositioned into the bladder, initially manifesting solely as urinary frequency.

Yet, the prognostic significance of PANoptosis-related genes has not been investigated more in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). The aim of this research was designed to identify and create a signature of PANoptosis-related genes which was expected to predict prognosis of ccRCC more effectively.

Background: Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is a condition that occurs when individuals under the age of 16 develop arthritis that lasts for more than six weeks, and the cause is unknown. The development of JIA may be linked to serum metabolites. Nevertheless, the association between JIA pathogenesis and serum metabolites is unclear, and there are discrepancies in the findings across studies.

Methods: Expression of KBTBD2 in GC was analyzed by analysis of TCGA data, Western blotting and Real-time quantitative polymerasechain reaction (RT-qPCR). The role of KBTBD2 on GC cells proliferation, viability, invasion, migration and apoptosis in vitro were assessed by using western blotting,RT-qPCR,CCK-8, EDU, Colony Formation Assay, Wound healing assay, Transwell, JC-1 mitochondrial membrane potential and flow cytometry assay, respectively.
Objective: This study aimed to compare robotic pancreatoduodenectomy (RPD) with laparoscopic pancreatoduodenectomy (LPD) in operative and oncologic outcomes.
Background: Previous studies comparing RPD with LPD have only been carried out in small, single-center studies with variable quality.
Methods: Consecutive patients from nine centers in China who underwent RPD or LPD between 2015 and 2022 were included.
Following the publication of this paper, it was drawn to the Editor's attention by a concerned reader that the tumour images shown in Fig. 3B were strikingly similar to data appearing in different form in another article written by different authors at different research institutes. Owing to the fact that the contentious data in the above article were already under consideration for publication prior to its submission to , the Editor has decided that this paper should be retracted from the Journal.

The main objective of this study was to investigate the antifungal effects and underlying mechanisms of leflunomide in combination with triazoles against resistant .
Methods: In this study, the microdilution method was used to determine the antifungal effects of leflunomide in combination with three triazoles on planktonic cells in vitro.
Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) is a highly malignant tumor of the hepatobiliary system that has failed to respond to many traditional therapies to a certain extent, including surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. In recent years, the new therapeutic schemes based on immunology have fundamentally changed the systemic treatment of various malignant tumors to a certain extent. In view of the immunogenicity of CCA, during the occurrence and development of CCA, some immunosuppressive substances are released from cells and immunosuppressive microenvironment is formed to promote the escape immune response of its own cells, thus enhancing the malignancy of the tumor and reducing the sensitivity of the tumor to drugs.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are regulatory RNA sequences present in the genome and their regulatory mechanism involves the sponging of microRNAs (miRNAs). In this study, we explored the regulation between circular forms of dedicator of cytokinesis 1 (circDOCK1) (hsa_circ_0007142) and miR-128-3p, and its implication on the pathogenesis of breast cancer modulated by never in mitosis (NIMA) related kinase 2 (NEK2).

Recent studies have shown a potential relationship between metabolic syndrome and the progression and recurrence of prostate cancer (PCa). This study aimed to construct a metabolic syndrome-related prognostic index (MSRPI) to predict biochemical recurrence-free survival (BFS) in patients with PCa and to identify cold and hot tumors to improve individualized treatment for patients with PCa.

Methods: The PECO strategy was employed. Women of reproductive age (Population) and with IBD (Exposure) were compared with healthy women of reproductive age (Comparison) to evaluate the ovarian reserve function (Outcome).
Purpose: It is rare to find a large leiomyoma in the prostate, especially in that of a young man. This case report and systematic review provides additional information on the diagnosis, distinguishing features of imaging examinations, and treatment options.
Patients And Methods: We report on the case of a thirty-year-old man with a large leiomyoma of the prostate.
Breast cancer has the highest incidence rate among all cancer types worldwide, seriously threatening women's health. The present retrospective study explored differences in serum lipid contents in different breast cancer (BC) subcategories and their correlation with Ki-67 expression levels in patients with invasive BC with the aim of identifying novel diagnostic and prognostic indicators for personalized BC treatment. The study included 170 patients diagnosed with BC who were diagnosed with invasive BC by postoperative pathological examination.
