The clinical characteristics of open hernia repair under local nerve block guided by ultrasound and epidural anesthesia under daytime surgery mode were compared and analyzed, and the safety, rationality and effectiveness of tension-free repair of inguinal hernia in elderly patients under local nerve block guided by ultrasound were discussed. The clinical data of 200 patients who underwent inguinal hernia day surgery in Liaocheng People's Hospital Affiliated to Shandong First Medical University from January 2022 to October 2022 were retrospectively analyzed, including 150 patients who underwent local anesthesia block surgery and 50 patients who underwent epidural surgery. The visual analog score of the ultrasound local anesthesia group was lower than that of the epidural surgery group at 4 h after operation.

This study investigated the changes in serum tumor marker levels in patients with breast cancer (BC) after neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) and their potential as prognostic factors in NACT. A total of 134 consecutive patients with BC treated at our hospital between January 2019 and December 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. Patients were treated with NACT based on the docetaxel, epirubicin, and cyclophosphamide (TEC) regimen and assessed for marker levels, T cell subsets, and therapeutic outcomes.

Background: Hypoxia-responsive miRs have been frequently reported in the growth of various malignant tumors. The present study aimed to investigate whether hypoxia-responsive miR-141-3p was implicated in the pathogenesis of breast cancer via mediating the high-mobility group box protein 1 (HMGB1)/hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1α signaling pathway.

Materials And Methods: miRs expression profiling was filtrated by miR microarray assays.

Extensive research has shown that is aberrantly expressed in human cancers, and that dysregulation of is implicated in the initiation and progression of human cancers. The expression and functions of in breast cancer are still unclear. Our aims were to measure the expression of in breast cancer, determine its effects on malignant behaviors of tumor cells, and uncover the molecular events underlying the actions of in breast cancer.

BACKGROUND Acute mastitis is a common disease occurring in postpartum lactating women. This study aimed to identify the high-risk factors for suppurative mastitis (SM) in women who were breastfeeding. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 262 non-SM patients and 63 SM patients admitted to the Department of Breast and Thyroid Surgery of Liaocheng People's Hospital were retrospectively enrolled in this study.

Background: High mobility group box-1 (HMGB1) is a factor regulating malignant tumorigenesis, proliferation, and metastasis, and is associated with poor clinical pathology in various human cancers. We investigated the differential concentrations of HMGB1 in tissues and sera, and their clinical value for diagnosis in patients with breast cancer, benign breast disease, and healthy individuals.

Methods: HMGB1 levels in tumor tissues, adjacent normal tissues, and benign breast disease tissues was detected via immunohistochemistry.
