Strategic Inter-agency Capacity Building for Primary Prevention of Harmful Behaviors in the Military: Current and Future Directions.

The Department of Defense (DoD) remains committed to mitigating harmful behaviors that harm personnel and hinder military readiness. DoD's Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office (SAPRO) and the Division of Violence Prevention (DVP) within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) established a partnership to build capacity for primary prevention though a wide-ranging training and technical assistance (TTA) system, The Integrated Prevention Technical Assistance Center (IPTAC). The system serves as a support system within the Interactive Systems Framework (ISF).

A Phase 1/2 Trial Combining Avelumab and Trabectedin for Advanced Liposarcoma and Leiomyosarcoma.

Purpose: Leiomyosarcoma and liposarcoma frequently express PD-L1 but are generally resistant to PD-1/PD-L1 inhibition (immune checkpoint inhibitor). Trabectedin is FDA approved for leiomyosarcoma and liposarcoma. This study aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of trabectedin with anti-PD-L1 antibody avelumab in patients with advanced leiomyosarcoma and liposarcoma.

A 48-Year-Old Man with Fevers and Weight Loss48-year-old man presented for evaluation of fevers, night sweats, and a 20-pound unintentional weight loss over 3 months. He also had a dry cough over the same time, without dyspnea, chest discomfort, or hemoptysis. On examination, he was febrile and tachycardic, with tenderness in the right upper quadrant on abdominal palpation.

Outcomes of Patients with Sarcoma and COVID-19 Infection: A Single Institution Cohort Analysis.

Outcomes for patients (pts) with sarcoma and COVID-19 are unknown. This is a single institution retrospective study of adults with sarcoma and COVID-19. Ten pts [median age 60 (range 24-69)] were identified.
