Background: Treatment options for the Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) subtype remain limited and the outcome for patients with advanced TNBC is very poor. The standard of care is chemotherapy, but approximately 50% of tumors develop resistance.

Methods: We performed gene expression profiling of 58 TNBC tumor samples by microarray, comparing chemosensitive with chemoresistant tumors, which revealed that one of the top upregulated genes was TGFβ2.

Biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) by canonical molybdenum and complementary vanadium and iron-only nitrogenase isoforms is the primary natural source of newly fixed nitrogen. Understanding controls on global nitrogen cycling requires knowledge of the isoform responsible for environmental BNF. The isotopic acetylene reduction assay (ISARA), which measures carbon stable isotope (C/C) fractionation between ethylene and acetylene in acetylene reduction assays, is one of the few methods that can quantify isoform-specific BNF fluxes.

Objective: The goal of this research was to understand the use of decentralized nursing stations (DNS), corridors, and huddle stations as places for teamwork and multidisciplinary care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

Background: This article shares outcomes from a pre- and post-occupancy evaluation that assessed a NICU moving from an open-bay model to a new single-family room (SFR) unit comprised of six, 12-bed neighborhoods.
