Introduction: This manuscript describes quality improvement interventions with aims (1) to increase identification and follow-up testing of youth with prediabetes and type 2 diabetes (T2D) and (2) to improve outcomes for youth with prediabetes and low-range T2D (HbA1c 6.5-6.9%).

Perinatal antibiotic exposure may be associated with changes in both early infancy gut microbiota and later childhood obesity. Our objective was to evaluate if group B Streptococcus (GBS) antibiotic prophylaxis is associated with higher body mass index (BMI) in early childhood. Objective This qualitative study explored parent and patient navigator perspectives of home visitation as part of a childhood obesity program in a low-income, largely Latino population. Methods Three patient navigators and 25 parents who participated in a home-based, childhood obesity program participated in focus groups or interviews. Emergent themes were identified through content analysis of qualitative data.

Latino Parents' Perceptions of Pediatric Weight Counseling Terms.

Objective: Little is known about Latino parents' perceptions of weight-related language in English or Spanish, particularly for counseling obese youth. We sought to identify English and Spanish weight counseling terms perceived by Latino parents across demographic groups as desirable for providers to use, motivating, and inoffensive.
