Association between C-reactive protein-albumin ratio and overall survival in Parkinson's disease using publicly available data: A retrospective cohort study.

Background: At present, many studies have confirmed that inflammation plays a central role in Parkinson's disease (PD). The inflammatory index is related to the prognosis of the disease, but a single inflammatory index has some limitations. The C-reactive protein-albumin ratio (CAR) is a better marker of inflammation or nutritional status than C-reactive protein (CRP) or albumin (Alb), but there is limited study on the association between CAR and the overall survival (OS) of PD.

Screening and Identification of Molecular Targets Involved in Preventing Gastric Precancerous Lesions in Chronic Atrophic Gastritis by Qilianshupi Decoction.

Chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) is a common and possibly precancerous digestive tract disease. Development of drugs with effect of preventing precancerous lesions draws the eyes of global researchers. Qilianshupi decoction (QLSP) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) that is commonly used to treat CAG, but few studies have explored the mechanism of QLSP on treating CAG.

Tumor suppressor candidate 3: A novel grading tool and predictor of clinical malignancy in human gliomas.

For several years, the cause of autosomal recessive mental retardation has been attributed to the deletion or mutation of a gene named tumor suppressor candidate 3 (TUSC3). Previous research has identified that TUSC3 is a potential tumor suppressor gene in oral epidermoid carcinoma, lung cancer and esophageal cancer. However, to the best of our knowledge, no previously published data has existed on the expression of TUSC3 in gliomas.

Astilbin ameliorates experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis by decreased Th17 cytokines and up-regulated T regulatory cells.

Astilbin, a major bioactive compound extracted from Rhizoma smilacis glabrae (RSG), has been reported to possess immunosuppressive properties. Our study first evaluated the effect of astilbin on experimental autoimmune myasthenia gravis (EAMG) in Lewis rats. The results showed that astilbin could attenuate the severity of EAMG by decreasing antigen-specific autoantibodies with up-regulation of regulatory T cells and down-regulation of Th17 cells.

Effects of ACEIs Versus ARBs on Proteinuria or Albuminuria in Primary Hypertension: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized Trials.

Although angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) and angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs) belong to a family of therapies that block the renin-angiotensin system and are suggested to improve proteinuria/albuminuria, it is unclear which is more effective. To compare the effects of ACEIs and ARBs on proteinuria in primary hypertension by performing a meta-analysis covering randomized controlled trials (RCTs). We systematically searched MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials from January 1990 to November 2014.
