Article Synopsis
  • - The senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP) is when old or damaged cells release certain substances that can help with tissue repair but can also cause problems, especially in healing fractures.
  • - Some drugs called senolytics can get rid of these old cells, which might help improve healing from fractures and other aging issues.
  • - Researchers are studying how SASP affects fracture healing to find better treatments, and they are also testing these senolytics to see how well they work in real-life situations.
