Article Synopsis
  • The study investigated how factors like ethanol concentration, extraction time, and temperature influence the yield and bioactive content of Tagetes lemmonii leaf extracts using response surface methodology (RSM).
  • Significant findings indicated that ethanol concentration had a major impact on the extraction variables, while temperature had a moderate effect.
  • The leaf extracts were found to be rich in bioactive compounds with notable biological activities, including antioxidant properties and effectiveness as an insect toxin against Tribolium castaneum, as well as the ability to slow down lipid oxidation in olive oil.
