Breast cancer is one of the most common female malignant tumors, with triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) being the most specific, highly invasive, metastatic and associated with a poor prognosis. Our previous study showed that the natural product ganoderic acid A (GAA) has a certain affinity for MDM2. In this study, two series of novel GAA PROTACs C1-C10 and V1-V10 were designed and synthesized for the treatment of breast cancer.

Background: The value of semiquantitative resting myocardial perfusion imaging (MPI) in coronary artery disease (CAD) is limited. At present, quantitative MPI can be performed by a new cadmium zinc tellurium single-photon emission computed tomography (CZT-SPECT) scan. The quantitative index of resting myocardial blood flow (MBF) has received little attention, and its manifestations and clinical value in the presence of unstable coronary blood flow have not been clarified.

Methods: HCC samples were selected from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases respectively.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between peripheral blood indices and the efficacy and prognosis of advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) patients treated with camrelizumab.
Patients And Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 64 patients who received camrelizumab for advanced ESCC at the Second People's Hospital of Lianyungang City between July 2020 and June 2022. The study included examination of the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR), the platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR), the systemic inflammation index (SII), the lymph-to-monocytes ratio (LMR), the absolute lymphocyte count (ALC), and lactate dehydrogenase (LDH).
Intriguing topological polar structures in oxide nanofilms have drawn growing attention owing to their immense potential applications in nanoscale electronic devices. Here, we report a novel route to mechanically manipulate polar structures via flexoelectricity in wrinkled thin films. Our results present a flexoelectric polar transition from a nonpolar state to uniaxial polar stripes, biaxial meronlike or antimeronlike polar structures, and polar labyrinths by varying wrinkle morphologies.

In most patients with AE, autoantibodies against neuronal cell surface antigens are produced by B-cells and induce neuronal dysfunction through various mechanisms, ultimately leading to disease progression. In recent years, B-cell targeted therapies, including monoclonal antibody (mAb) therapy and chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy, have been widely used in autoimmune diseases.

However, the reasonable selection of key grouting parameters still needs further research. In response to the problem of selecting grouting sealing parameters for gas drainage drilling in soft coal seams, based on the "concentric ring" reinforcement sealing technology obtained in previous research, the key parameters and sealing technology of the "concentric ring" reinforcement were studied through theoretical calculation and numerical simulation experiments.

However, whether cultivar mixtures in maize affects soil bacterial community, nutrient uptake, plant growth and yield remains unknown. A two-year lysimetric experiment was conducted using two maize cultivars (LY16 and JS501) with different root system architectures planted in monoculture or in mixture under normal fertilization (NF), reduced fertilization (RF) or no addition of fertilizer (CK) and was assessed at the silking stages.

Given the limitations of traditional transformer fault diagnostic methods, such as insufficient gas characteristic components and a high misjudgment rate for transformer faults, this study proposes a transformer fault diagnosis model based on multi-scale approximate entropy and optimized convolutional neural networks (CNNs). This study introduces an improved sparrow search algorithm (ISSA) for optimizing CNN parameters, establishing the ISSA-CNN transformer fault diagnosis model.

The association between phthalate exposure and metabolic disorders has been increasingly recognized, yet the precise biological mechanisms are not well-defined. In this study, we explored the effects of monoethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP) and monocyclohexyl phthalate (MCHP) on glucose and lipid metabolism in human hepatocytes and adipocytes.

Background: Excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) is one of the most frequent nonmotor symptoms in Parkinson's disease (PD); however, the pathogenesis of EDS is unclear, and there is a lack of information on plasma biomarkers for EDS in PD. We aimed to investigate the plasma biomarkers of EDS in a large PD cohort.
Methods: A total of 159 PD patients were included in the prospective cohort study and followed up annually for 3 years.
Rational designing efficient transition metal-based multifunctional electrocatalysts is highly desirable for improving the efficiency of hydrogen production from water cracking. Herein, a self-supported three-phase heterostructure electrocatalyst of nickel-cobalt sulfide/nickel phosphide/iron phosphide (CoNiS-NiP-FeP) was prepared by a two-step gas-phase sulfurization/phosphorization strategy. The heterostructure in CoNiS-NiP-FeP provides a favorable interfacial environment for electron transfer and synergistic interaction of multiphase active components, while the introduced electronegative P/S not only serves as a carrier for proton capture in the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) process but also promotes the metal-electron outflow, which in turn accelerates the generation of high-valent Ni species to enhance the catalytic activity of oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and urea oxidation reaction (UOR).

It is pathologically characterized by oligodendroglial cytoplasmic inclusions containing abnormally aggregated α-synuclein. According to the updated Movement Disorder Society diagnostic criteria for multiple system atrophy, the diagnosis of clinically established multiple system atrophy requires the manifestation of autonomic dysfunction in combination with poorly levo-dopa responsive parkinsonism and/or cerebellar syndrome.

Immune checkpoint blockers (ICBs) have been applied for cancer therapy and achieved great success in the field of cancer immunotherapy. Nevertheless, the broad application of ICBs is limited by the low response rate. To address this issue, increasing studies have found that the induction of immunogenic cell death (ICD) in tumor cells is becoming an emerging therapeutic strategy in cancer treatment, not only straightly killing tumor cells but also enhancing dying cells immunogenicity and activating antitumor immunity.

The origin of their broadband emission has been commonly attributed to self-trapped excitons (STEs) composed of localized electronic polarization with a distorted lattice. Unfortunately, the exact electronic and structural nature of the STE species in these WLE materials remains elusive, hindering the rational design of high-efficiency WLE materials.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFMitophagy is a process that selectively removes excess or damaged mitochondria and plays an important role in regulating intracellular mitochondrial mass and maintaining mitochondrial energy metabolism. TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1) is a multifunctional serine/threonine protein kinase, which is involved in the regulation of PTEN-induced putative kinase 1 (PINK1)/Parkin-dependent and -independent mitophagy. Recent studies have shown that TBK1 phosphorylates the autophagy related proteins, such as optineurin (OPTN), p62/sequestosome-1, Ras-related GTP binding protein 7 (Rab7), and mediates the binding of nuclear dot protein 52 (NDP52) to UNC-51 like autophagy activating kinase 1 (ULK1) complex, as well as the binding of TAX1-binding protein 1 (TAX1BP1) to microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 (LC3), thereby enhancing PINK1/Parkin-dependent mitophagy.

Plasma glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) was elevated in PD patients and may be regarded as a biomarker for motor and cognitive progression. Here we explore if there was an association between plasma GFAP and different motor subtypes and whether baseline plasma GFAP level can predict motor subtype conversion.
