Objective: The research was designed to assess silica calcium phosphate nanocomposite (SCPC) biocompatibility and bioactivity as an osteoinductive scaffold and cell carrier. Consequently, the ability of cell seeded SCPC implant to regenerate a critical size defect in rat calvarium.
