Solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) for symmetrical supercapacitors are proposed herein with activated carbon as electrodes and optimized solid polymer electrolyte membranes, which serve as the separators and electrolytes. We propose the design of a low-cost solid polymer electrolyte consisting of guanidinium nitrate (GuN) and poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) with poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). Using the solution casting approach, blended polymer electrolytes with varying GuN weight percentage ratios of PVP and PEO are prepared.

Various weight percentages of GuC enriched PVP/PEO solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs) have been prepared by the simplest solution casting process. XRD analysis revealed that the incorporation of the GuC salt led to changes in the crystalline structure of the PVP/PEO.

Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted to evaluate the effect of khat leaves on the glycated haemoglobin and lipid profile in the Dire Dawa population. For the study, 100 male subjects (aged ⩾20-⩽40 years) were recruited and divided into two groups, each consisting of 50 subjects: the first group was khat chewing people while the other group was non-khat chewing individuals.
The Cu₂ZnSnS₄ (CZTS) thin films have been prepared at different deposition cycles, deposited on a glass substrate by successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) method followed by the annealing process at elevated temperature. The investigations on the films have been carried out to understand and confirm its structure, functional group present, crystalline morphology, optical and electrochemical behavior. The powder X-ray diffraction patterns recorded indicate that the deposited films are formed in the tetragonal structure.

Materials And Methods: Experimental group consisted of Vitrebond™ (3M ESPE) resin-modified glass ionomer liner, and Vitremer™ (3M ESPE) resin-modified glass ionomer cement (GIC) in comparison with the control group of Dycal® (Dentsply) as liner and Poly F® (Dentsply) dental cement. Class V cavities were prepared in 32 sound premolars that were scheduled for orthodontic extraction, and the exposures were capped according to groups.
Aim: The aim of the present study was to compare the remaining dental thickness (RDT) in the mesiobuccal root of mandibular first molars at 3 and 7 mm from the anatomic apex after instrumentation with ProTaper, light speed LSX, K3 and M2 and to compare with that of K-files.
Materials And Methods: In this study, 60 extracted, untreated human mandibular first molars with fully formed apices, with curvature less than 35° and no root resorption were used. Prepared specimens were cut horizontally at 3 and 7 mm short of anatomic apex.
Objective: To measure the clinically relevant skin to posterior lumbar epidural space distance in adult surgical patients and to correlate this distance with the patient physical factors to construct a model for the prediction of this distance using the correlation.
Design: A cross-sectional study.
Place And Duration Of Study: Department of Anaesthesiology, P.
Sinonasal lymphomas are uncommon malignancies. They are difficult to differentiate from carcinomas, and immunohistochemistry is needed to make the diagnosis. We describe an unusual case of a T cell lymphoma that involved only the paranasal sinuses in a middle-aged man.

A number of reports that have appeared in the recent past indicate that plasma membrane localized estrogen receptor alpha (ERalpha) also exists. Whether the membrane localized ERalpha represents the receptor that binds to the estrogen responsive element (ERE) remains to be known.

Laryngeal mask airway (LMA) has established itself as a reliable mode of maintaining a patent airway; however, it is associated with a few complications. This case report describes the presentation, diagnosis, management and treatment of an unusual complication associated with the use of LMA, that is postobstructive pulmonary edema (POPE), which is a potentially life-threatening complication of acute airway obstruction. It develops rapidly but responds quickly to the therapy.
