Bereavement during childhood impacts children's wellbeing and biopsychosocial development. Research examining impacts and outcomes of childhood bereavement and supportive interventions has highlighted a myriad of factors that influence children's unique, complex experiences of grief, necessitating a personalized, child-centred approach. Children's grief support is underpinned by well-established grief theories studied primarily in adult populations, and stage-based developmental theories that characterise child development as "normative" and universal.

It remained open whether it is possible to construct these orders at other cardinals. Here, it is proved that in Gödel's constructible universe, these orders exist at any regular uncountable cardinal that is not weakly compact.

Methods: This study is a retrospective case series study. All children with intestinal failure in a single center in southern Israel who were administered PN and treated with TL between 2017 and 2024 were included.
This study aimed to examine attachment and adult separation anxiety (ASA) among women who lost a parent in their youth. We hypothesized that insecure attachment and increased ASA from a romantic partner would be found among women who have lost a parent in youth, compared to women whose parents were both alive. Sixty women who lost one or both parents in their youth and 60 who had living parents participated in the study (mean age: 32.

School can be a source of support, yet there is scarce research on the experience of bereaved children in school a few years after the loss and from their own perspective. In this qualitative-phenomenological study we set out to identify the subjective experience of parentally bereaved children and adolescents in school, at least one year after the death.

This way of coping is complicated in the case of grief among children with special needs, called "disenfranchised grief ". The aim of this qualitative study was to examine the experience and the perceptions of the educational staff in schools for special education and to assess their way of coping, support and care they employ following the death of a student.

These measures included the Autism Symptom Interview - School-Age, the Social Responsiveness Scale - 2nd Edition, and the Social Communication Questionnaire - Lifetime. The classification accuracy of all three parent screeners fell in the moderate range.

Early diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in children enables earlier access to services and better ability to predict subsequent development. A vast body of literature consistently shows discrepancies in the age of diagnosis between children from varying socio-economic levels, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The present study examines the effect of sociodemographic factors on age of ASD diagnosis among the three primary ethnic sectors in Jerusalem region: secular and modern religious Jews, ultra-Orthodox Jews and Arabs.

This is even more precise with regard to children who have lost an immediate family member, such as a parent or a sibling. This experience may severely impact the children's social and emotional lives, their functioning, adaptability, and psychological and physical development.

Methods: We enrolled all infants with a urine culture obtained during an emergency room visit during 2004-2012, discharged without antibiotic therapy and subsequently reported with a positive urine culture.
Results: Three hundred and ninety-three positive urine cultures were reported; 46/393 (11.
In the current investigation, we compared and evaluated the effects of two intervention procedures, a modified chin prompt and reclined seating, on the liquid expulsion of 2 children with feeding disorders. For both participants, expulsion decreased to clinically meaningful levels when we added the modified chin prompt or reclined seating to a treatment package consisting of differential reinforcement of acceptance, nonremoval of the cup, and re-presentation. We discuss possible mechanisms underlying the effects of the 2 interventions and areas for future research.

Closed pleural biopsy can be used for diagnosis. In recent years, more invasive methods are used for the diagnostic process in the western world.

We developed a processing pipeline on a three-dimensional local region of support for estimation of optical properties of atherosclerotic plaques from coronary artery, IVOCT pullbacks. Using realistic coronary artery disease phantoms, we determined insignificant differences in mean and standard deviation estimates between our pullback analyses and more conventional processing of stationary acquisitions with frame averaging.

Study Design: Infants born less than 35 weeks postmenstrual age (PMA) were prospectively enrolled if their mother received a full course of bethametasone prior to delivery (study group) or not (control group); infants with major intracranial abnormalities were excluded as well as those who were sedated or needed assisted ventilation. EEG was recorded during the first 10 days of life.

The presence of extensive calcification is a primary concern when planning and implementing a vascular percutaneous intervention such as stenting. If the balloon does not expand, the interventionalist must blindly apply high balloon pressure, use an atherectomy device, or abort the procedure. As part of a project to determine the ability of Intravascular Optical Coherence Tomography (IVOCT) to aid intervention planning, we developed a method for automatic classification of calcium in coronary IVOCT images.

Background: There is a paucity of research on psychosocial treatments for depression in adults with intellectual disability (ID). In this pilot study, we explored the efficacy of a group CBT treatment that involved a caregiver component in adults with mild ID with a depressive disorder.
Method: Sixteen adults with mild ID and a depressive disorder participated in a 10-week group CBT treatment and 8 adults with mild ID with a depressive disorder served as a treatment as usual (TAU) control group.
We developed robust, three-dimensional methods, as opposed to traditional A-line analysis, for estimating the optical properties of calcified, fibrotic, and lipid atherosclerotic plaques from in vivo coronary artery intravascular optical coherence tomography clinical pullbacks. We estimated attenuation [Formula: see text] and backscattered intensity [Formula: see text] from small volumes of interest annotated by experts in 35 pullbacks. Some results were as follows: noise reduction filtering was desirable, parallel line (PL) methods outperformed individual line methods, root mean square error was the best goodness-of-fit, and [Formula: see text]-trimmed PL ([Formula: see text]-T-PL) was the best overall method.

Our method analyzes a volume of interest (VOI) consisting of about 100 A-lines spread across the angle of rotation () and along the artery, . The new 3D method uses catheter correction, baseline removal, speckle noise reduction, alignment of A-line sequences, and robust estimation.

Participants underwent fMRI while judging the incorrectness of multiplication results, and the data were analyzed using a sequence of methods, each of which progressively provided more a detailed picture of the spatio-temporal aspect of this disease. Healthy subjects and subjects with DD performed alike behaviorally though they exhibited parietal disparities using traditional voxel-based group analyses.

Aim: The cognitive and psychiatric aspects of adult movement disorders are well established, but specific behavioural profiles for paediatric movement disorders have not been delineated. Knowledge of non-motor phenotypes may guide treatment and determine which symptoms are suggestive of a specific movement disorder and which indicate medication effects.
Method: The goal of this review is to outline the known cognitive and psychiatric symptoms associated with paediatric movement disorders.
Unlabelled: Although both acute and chronic stress leads to pain, the precise characteristics of this association have not been well defined. Sderot is an Israeli town exposed to repeated missile attacks. Ofakim, a town of similar demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, had not been targeted, as of the period of our study.
