Out of the diverse industrial applications of hemp fibre, for the first time we report the development of a leather alternative (flexible composite) material by integrating hemp fibre, as a bio-reinforcement and natural rubber (latex) macromolecules, as a matrix. For developing such unique product, primarily, hemp fibre was extracted from the Canabinus sativa L., i.

The potential solution to this issue could be the conversion of pseudo-stems into valuable assets by converting them into fibres for various textile and non-textile applications. The specific characteristics of banana pseudo-stem fibre i.

Scar tissues have been important factors in determining the progression of myocardial diseases and the development of adverse cardiac failure outcomes. Accurate segmentation of the scar tissues can be helpful to the clinicians for risk prediction and better evaluation of cardiovascular diseases. Our goal is to apply topology data analysis toward machine learning algorithms to confirm the geometry of scar tissue, in addition to gaining better visualization and quantification of the scar tissue present.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFBackground: Image evaluation of scar tissue plays a significant role in the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. Segmentation of the scar tissue is the first step towards evaluating the morphology of the scar tissue. Then, with the use of CT images, the deep learning approach can be applied to identify possible scar tissue in the left ventricular endocardial wall.

Here we show that C3G localizes to SC35-positive nuclear speckles and regulates splicing activity. Reversible association of C3G with speckles was seen on inhibition of transcription and splicing.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFC3G (RapGEF1) is a ubiquitously expressed guanine nucleotide exchange factor that functions in signaling pathways regulating cell proliferation, apoptosis, and actin reorganization. It is essential for differentiation and early embryonic development in mice. Overexpressed C3G shows predominant cytoplasmic localization, but endogenous C3G is a component of nuclear fractions in a variety of cell types.
