Article Synopsis
  • Giant Cell Tumours (GCT) are benign but locally aggressive tumors affecting bone, particularly problematic near joints, prompting a study on outcomes from resection of GCT in the distal ulna without reconstruction.
  • The study involved 21 patients (12 males, 9 females) with a mean age of 30.4 years; after a follow-up of 4.4 years, pain was prevalent, with most tumors categorized as Campanacci grades 2 or 3.
  • Results showed a mean distal ulna resection length of 6.8 cm, a Musculoskeletal Tumor Society score of 26.1, slight grip strength loss, and only one recurrence, suggesting that resection without reconstruction yields good

Head and neck osteosarcoma is an uncommon yet aggressive tumor which presents therapeutic challenges to get favourable results. Surgery remained the most effective treatment modality in this entity eventhough chemoradiotherapy have been tried in various studies for better outcome but still not yet becomes the standard in the management of these cases unlike in extremity osteosarcoma. We present our experience in the management of this uncommon yet lethal malignant tumor, i.

is an important medicinal plant found to exhibit several medicinal properties but the use of its leaves for combating infection has not been scientifically validated in poultry. The present study was conducted to evaluate the protective effects of methanol leaf extract of (ANE) on challenged broiler chickens. Three hundred and thirty, day-old broiler chickens, were divided into 6 groups of 55 each, with group EX infected intraperitoneally (I/P) with LD dose of 1 × 10 cfu/ml of ; group(s) EA1, EA2 and EA3 infected I/P with 1 × 10 cfu/ml of and supplemented with ANE @ 0.

A rare variant of this disease with no etiological association is the mucosal malignant melanoma found on all mucosal surfaces of the body including the oral cavity, respiratory mucosa and anorectal region. In the head and neck region, this disease is almost always diagnosed at an advanced stage and requires a very high index of suspicion for diagnosis.

The lack of specific antiviral therapy and complications associated with the existing peste des petits ruminants (PPR) vaccines accentuates the search of novel antiviral blocking agents in order to curtail the PPR infection at initial level. The synthetic hemagglutinin-neuraminidase (HN) homologous peptides may compete with the natural HN protein of PPR virus for binding to signaling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM) receptor, consequently, may disrupt peste des petits ruminants virus (PPRV) at entry level. Therefore, insilico analysis, synthesis, purification and subsequent characterization of HN homologous peptides were conducted in this study.

Introduction: The interpretation of quantitative test results requires the availability of appropriate reference intervals (RIs). Every laboratory has been advised by scientific literature and reagent manufacturers to establish RIs for all analytes. Measuring RIs using direct methods is very costly, and it poses ethical and practical challenges.

Porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV-2) is of great economic significance to porcine industry worldwide. PCV-2 variants and genotypes, alternating world over, are the etiological agent of several clinical syndromes such as porcine dermatitis and nephropathy syndrome (PDNS), post-weaning multi-systemic wasting syndrome (PMWS) and others in pigs. This study is reporting an atypical manifestation of PDNS in twelve grower pigs, 3- to - 4.

Article Synopsis
  • The study focuses on porcine enteric picornaviruses, which cause diarrhea and nervous issues in pigs, leading to significant losses in pig farming in India.
  • Researchers analyzed 398 fecal samples from multiple states to identify the presence of three specific viruses: porcine teschovirus (PTV), porcine sapelovirus (PSV), and enterovirus G (EV-G).
  • The findings revealed the prevalence rates of these viruses, with EV-G being the most common (24.37%), highlighting the need for better control measures to prevent outbreaks.
