Purpose: To determine the prevalence of fusional vergence dysfunction (FVD) and its relationship with age, sex, and refractive errors in a population-based study.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, all residents of Mashhad, northeast of Iran, aged >1 year were subjected to random stratified cluster sampling. After selecting the participants, they all underwent complete optometric examinations including the measurement of visual acuity and refraction, assessment of binocular vision and accommodative status, and slit-lamp biomicroscopy.
Purpose: To compare on-axis measurements of the axial length (AL) with off-axis measurements in the paracentral horizontal and vertical positions using the Lenstar LS 900 biometer.
Methods: In this, the samples were selected from patients scheduled for cataract surgery using a systematic randomization method. After applying the exclusion criteria, all subjects underwent optometric examinations and AL measurement using the Lenstar.
Purpose: To determine the distribution of keratoconus indices in a 5-93-year-old healthy eyes of a rural population in Iran.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, multi-stage cluster sampling was applied to select subjects from two villages in the north and southwest of Iran. After obtaining informed consent, all subjects underwent ophthalmologic and optometric examinations.
The aim of our study was to estimate regional and global cataract prevalence, its prevalence in different age groups, and the determinants of heterogeneity and its prevalence. For that, we used international databases such as PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, Embase, and other sources of information to conduct a systematic search for all articles concerning the prevalence of age-related cataract and its types in different age groups. Of the 9922 identified articles, 45 studies with a sample size of 161,947 were included in the analysis, and most of them were from the Office for the Western Pacific Region (19 studies).

Methods: One examiner performed 3 consecutive ACD measurements with both devices on 74 eyes of 42 keratoconus patient. Repeatability was assessed using intrasession test-retest variability.
Purpose: To determine the repeatability of corneal thickness measurements with Scheimpflug (Pentacam) and slit scanning (Orbscan) imaging techniques in different grades of keratoconus.
Methods: This study was conducted as a cross-sectional research. Imaging with Orbscan and Pentacam was performed on patients with different grades of keratoconus.
