Background: Ethical performance is one of the main components of maternal and fetal care. Nurturing and training students who meet professional ethics in midwifery is of utmost importance. It is essential to assess the level of adherence of students and graduates to the codes of ethics in order to determine the extent of education needs in this regard.

Poor VO is associated with worse clinical outcomes, but pre-treatment markers predictive of PVT are not well described.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 189 patients with anterior circulation AIS-LVO who underwent baseline CT evaluation, including non-contrast CT, CT angiography, and CTP.
Herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) is the primary cause of infectious blindness. Despite impressive therapeutic outcomes of conventional treatments, HSV-1 drug resistance can be easily developed. Thus, more constructive strategies should be implemented.

Psoriasis presentation and disease burden can vary by skin pigmentation, race and ethnicity, and socioeconomic differences. Overall, there are limited primary data on clinical response, genetics, and quality of life in populations with psoriasis and skin of color (SoC).

Prolonged venous transit (PVT) has emerged as a potential prognostic imaging biomarker in AIS-LVO. We aimed to investigate whether PVT is associated with a decreased likelihood of excellent functional outcome (modified Rankin Scale [mRS] score of 0-1 at 90 days) after successful reperfusion.

Background: The low solubility of Tobacco Etch Virus (TEV) protease, a functional enzyme that cleaves protein tags without significant modification in its sequence, is one of the most important limitations of this enzyme. In this study, the aim was to increase the solubility of TEV by changing the expression conditions and designing lysis buffer with various solubilizing agents to improve its solubility.

Background And Purpose: Prolonged venous transit (PVT+) is a marker of venous outflow; it is defined as the presence or absence of time-to-maximum ≥10 seconds timing in either the superior sagittal sinus or torcula. This novel perfusion imaging-based metric has been associated with higher odds of mortality and lower odds of functional recovery. This study aims to assess the relationship between PVT on admission perfusion imaging and length of hospital stay in large vessel occlusion strokes successfully reperfused with mechanical thrombectomy.

This study investigated the clinical features, pathological findings, and outcomes of children with malignant renal tumors in Southern Iran. Factors associated with recurrence and mortality were assessed.

Prolonged venous transit (PVT), a visual qualitative VO marker on CT perfusion (CTP) time to maximum (Tmax) maps, has been associated with unfavorable 90-day functional outcomes despite successful reperfusion. This study investigates the association between PVT and percent change on the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) among AIS-LVO patients who have undergone successful reperfusion.

Background: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is one of the most common inflammatory dermatoses in adults. Women are disproportionately impacted by AD and report significant impacts on quality of life compared to men.
Objective: Given the absence of formal guidelines for the treatment of AD in women of childbearing age, we will review special considerations for treating women of childbearing age with AD to ensure consistent care and optimal outcomes for these patients.
The neutrophil-derived peptide, indolicidin, and the sphere-shaped carbon nanoparticle, C60, are contemporary components capable of acting as bactericides and virucides, among others. Herein, the coarse-grained molecular dynamics simulation method was used to simulate the interactions of gram-negative bacteria, eukaryotes, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), and SARS-COV-2 membrane models with indolicidin, C60s, and C60-indolicidin hybrids. Our results demonstrated that the carbon nanoparticle penetrated all membrane models, except the bacterial membrane, which remained impenetrable to both the peptide and C60.

We evaluated the effect of upadacitinib, an oral selective Janus kinase inhibitor approved for moderate-to-severe AD, plus topical corticosteroids (+TCS) on patient-reported outcomes (PROs) over 52 weeks. In the phase 3 AD Up study (NCT03568318), adults and adolescents with moderate-to-severe AD were randomized 1:1:1 to once-daily upadacitinib 15 mg, 30 mg, or placebo + TCS.

Background: Financial security and retirement planning are essential for all medical professionals including radiology residents. Given the available discretionary income during residency it is crucial to have insights into investment. We aimed to assess the prevalence of retirement plans offered to radiology residents, the available choices, and their degree of participation.

The epidemiology of mucormycosis has changed after the COVID-19 pandemic, with mucormycosis becoming the most common and the fatal coinfection.
Methods: In a retrospective, cross-sectional study, 82 hospitalized patients with a definite diagnosis of mucormycosis were reported from 2007 to 2021 in a referral, tertiary care center in Tehran, Iran.
Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the role of Whitnall's ligament position in the success of levator resection surgery in congenital ptosis.
Methods: It was an interventional case series on patients with congenital ptosis who underwent levator muscle resection in Farabi Eye Hospital (2020-2022). Patients with incomplete follow-up, a history of trauma, poor Bell's phenomenon, previous ocular and lid surgeries, poor levator function (≤ 4mm), and syndromic ptosis or systemic diseases were excluded.
Background: Nursing students should be equipped with ethical sensitivity and professional behaviour because they will face challenging ethical issues in their future work environment. This study aimed to determine the relationship between moral sensitivity and professional behaviour and compare it in first- and last-year undergraduate nursing students.
Methods: This study was a cross-sectional, correlational study that was conducted at Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in 2019.
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common form of dementia. AD is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by cognitive dysfunction, including learning and memory deficits, and behavioral changes. Neuropathology hallmarks of AD such as amyloid beta (Aβ) plaques and neurofibrillary tangles containing the neuron-specific protein tau is associated with changes in fluid biomarkers including Aβ, phosphorylated tau (p-tau)-181, p-tau 231, p-tau 217, glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP), and neurofilament light (NFL).
