The mechanism causing cold pain in humans is unresolved. Animal data suggest a nonredundant contribution to cold pain for transient receptor potential channels TRPM8 and TRPA1 for detection and voltage-gated sodium channels NaV1.7 and NaV1.

Remote sensing data have been widely used to retrieve high spatiotemporal water quality data; however, their application has practically been limited to evaluating surface WQVs. In this paper, a novel and efficient approach is introduced for assessing the profile of WQVs in reservoirs that depend on stratification, by taking into account the shape of profile as prior knowledge.

The present study sought to identify potential alterations in signaling pathways in IM and GC to predict disease progression; these alterations can be considered therapeutic targets.
Materials & Methods: Seven gene expression profiles were selected from the GEO database.
Introduction: Mechanical neck pain has become prevalent among computer professionals possibly because of prolonged computer use. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between neck pain intensity, anthropometric metrics, cervical range of motion, and related disabilities using advanced machine learning techniques.
Method: This study involved 75 computer professionals, comprising 27 men and 48 women, aged between 25 and 44 years, all of whom reported neck pain following extended computer sessions.

Introduction: Chemotherapeutic agents have the potential to induce neurotoxicity, resulting in a range of symptoms, including mild paresthesia, neuropathic pain, pronounced ataxia, and significant impairment. Taxane-induced neuropathy (TIN) is a prevalent adverse effect and a significant constraint of Taxane-based chemotherapy protocols in treating breast cancer. In this current study, we aim to compare the effects of Venlafaxine and Duloxetine in taxane-induced Neuropathy as well as the quality of life, Depression, and Anxiety in Breast cancer Patients.

One notable consequence was the increased demand for diagnostic kits, laboratory reagents, and personal health equipment. This surge in testing capacity worldwide led to shortages in the supply of essential items, including RNA extraction kits, which are crucial for detecting COVID-19 infections.

Ag/g-CN nanocomposite was analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectra (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX-MAP), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). After procurement and characterization, the catalytic activity of the prepared reagent was surveyed in the synthesis of a new series of depsipeptides using aspirin/ketoprofen, cyclohexyl isocyanide, and aryl aldehydes at ambient temperature in EtOH/HO as a green media.

Variable laboratory findings are reported in COVID-19 patients, among which elevated levels of D-dimer, lactate dehydrogenase, as well as lymphopenia, have been reported to be associated with increased severity of disease symptoms requiring ventilator support, intensive care unit admission, and mortality.

Introduction: Toxin-antitoxin systems (TAs) are highly conserved in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). The TAs role in maintaining and disseminating drug resistance in bacterial populations has been indicated. So, we aimed to analyze the expression level of mazEF-related genes in drugsusceptible and multidrug-resistant (MDR) Mtb isolates under isoniazid (INH) and rifampin (RIF) stress.

COVID-19 infection can lead to cardiac involvement, negatively impacting the clinical course and prognosis. We reported two patients with HES complicated by COVID-19, with cardiac involvement and valve replacement.

Herein, we design a procedure to fabricate a hyaluronic acid (HA)-based hydrogel to conjugate curcumin (Gel-H.P.

To examine the gut microbiome, patients are required to provide faecal samples; more convenient and cheaper solutions need to be found.
Methods: As part of a pilot study looking at how routes of administration affect the gut microbiome in NHS patients undergoing routine clinical management for infections, we hypothesised that effects on the gut microbiome varied with the route and metabolism of antibiotic used, and these changes may be reflected in breath metabolites.
Tamoxifen (TAM) is a selective estrogen receptor modulator that is used in the treatment of breast cancer. As there are estrogen receptors in the retina, retinal pigment epithelium, and choroid, these tissues may also be affected by TAM. We describe the reported effects of TAM on the retina and choroid.

Infections due to these multidrug-resistant (MDR) pathogens-especially Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae-may originate from a prior asymptomatic intestinal colonization that could also favor transmission to other subjects. It is therefore desirable that gut carriers are rapidly identified to try preventing both the occurrence of serious endogenous infections and potential transmission.

Neoadjuvant treatment with dual-HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) blockade has shown promising effects in this regard. The present study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of a proposed pertuzumab biosimilar with the reference pertuzumab.

Methods: Patients were randomly assigned to receive neoadjuvant TA4415V or reference trastuzumab concurrently with docetaxel (TH phase) for 4 cycles after treatment with 4 cycles of doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide (AC phase). Chemotherapy was followed by surgery.
Methicillin-resistant (MRSA) is an important problem associated with significant mortality and morbidity and well known as a predominant bacterial pathogen. The aim of this study was to identify MRSA strains. In this study (June 2018 to June 2019) isolates of were obtained from patients referred to teaching hospitals of Ahvaz, Iran.

Background: CRC is the second and third most common cancer in women and men, respectively. The national comprehensive cancer network guidelines recommend oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy as a preferred regimen for patients with advanced or metastatic colon cancer. Oxaliplatin is also used in the off-label treatment of gastric cancer.

However, many young people continue smoking without paying attention to health risk messages on cigarette packets in Iran. Hence, this study was conducted to examine the processing route of anti-smoking messages and influencing cognitive factors based on the Elaboration Likelihood Model.

One of the most promising research fields is the development of biocompatible photothermal nanocarriers. PTT (photothermal therapy) with an NIR (near-infrared) wavelength range (700-2000 nm) would cause cell death by increasing intercellular and intracellular temperature.

Although mutations in target genes are the main cause of drug resistance, efflux pumps (Eps) also play an important role in this process. Here, we investigated the overexpression of five putative EP genes plus gene mutations in MDR-TB clinical isolates.
