- Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a leading cause of irregular ovulation and infertility in women of reproductive age, prompting a study to compare the effects of green tea tablets and metformin on women's health.
- In a clinical trial with 94 women diagnosed with PCOS, participants were divided into three groups (green tea, metformin, and control) to assess changes in menstrual cycle regularity and oxidative stress levels over three months.
- Results showed that while the green tea group experienced a shorter average menstrual cycle duration compared to the other groups, there were no significant differences in biochemical, hormonal, or antioxidant markers among all participants post-intervention.
