Background: Infertility as a distressing condition, is associated with numerous psychological and social consequences for couples. In addition, there is evidence to suggest that infertility may contribute to the occurrence of violence against women. The aim of the study is to determine the prevalence and factors associated with violence against Iranian women with infertility.

To assess the relationship between domestic violence during pregnancy and women's health-related quality of life (HRQoL), a cross-sectional study was conducted on 341 postnatal women who referred to urban health care centers in Gachsaran, Islamic Republic of Iran. Domestic violence was assessed using a questionnaire modified from the Abuse Assessment Screen (AAS), and Iranian version of Short Form-36 questionnaire was used to assess women's HRQoL.
