Nanoparticulate drug delivery systems (NDDS) based nanoformulations have emerged as promising drug delivery systems. Various NDDS-based formulations have been reported such as polymeric nanoparticles (NPs), nanoliposomes, solid lipid NPs, nanocapsules, liposomes, self-nano emulsifying drug delivery systems, pro liposomes, nanospheres, microemulsion, nanoemulsion, gold NPs, silver NPs and nanostructured lipid carrier. They have shown numerous advantages such as enhanced bioavailability, aqueous solubility, permeability, controlled release profile, and blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeability.

Article Synopsis
  • - Recent studies highlight the gut microbiome's crucial role in human health, linking it to various diseases, including neurodegenerative diseases (ND), and indicating potential therapeutic applications.
  • - The article examines how post-biotics could protect against ND by increasing dopamine levels, reducing harmful proteins, and improving motor function while also lowering inflammation and apoptosis.
  • - It consolidates findings from preclinical and clinical trials that support the neuroprotective effects of post-biotics, showcasing their antioxidant abilities and potential for enhancing overall health in the context of ND.

Purpose: Various graft materials have been studied for filling peri-implant gap (PIG), but there was no similar randomized clinical trial to evaluate the effect of Platelet-rich fibrin or alloplast or their combination on vertical bone implant contact (BIC) around immediate implants and their stability over a period of 1 year.

Methods: Immediate implants were placed in maxillary anterior region of 30 subjects ( = 10). Either alloplast (group I) or L-PRF (group II) or both (group III) were used to fill the PIG following randomization chart.

Purpose: The aim of the study is to compare the efficacy of anesthesia and hemodynamic parameters of clonidine and epinephrine in lignocaine for lower third molar surgery.

Materials And Methods: Thirty healthy controls with impacted mandibular third molar were randomly selected from both sexes between the age group of 20-47 years. Patients were divided equally into two groups: Group I (Adrenaline group) and Group II (Clonidine group).

Background Low back pain is a common condition and carries substantial socioeconomic implications. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the imaging modality of choice with lumbar neural foraminal stenosis being one of the most common causes of lower back pain syndromes. Studies have shown a lack of correlation between patients' severity of disability and radiologically determined nerve root constriction.

Introduction Breast cancer has a high prevalence in the community and places very high demands on resources. Digital mammography provides a good quality image with reduced radiation dose and can detect breast carcinoma in its earlier stages, resulting in good prognosis and improved patient survival. Objective To calculate the diagnostic accuracy of digital mammography in the detection of breast cancer, using histopathology as a gold standard in women aged over 30 years, who are undergoing mammography for screening and diagnostic purposes.
