- Positive airway pressure (PAP) is the standard treatment for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), but determining the right PAP level can be costly and inconvenient through traditional methods like overnight titration.
- This study aimed to find the optimal PAP levels for OSA patients, explore differences based on severity of the condition, and develop an equation to predict these requirements using diagnostic data.
- Results showed that males and those with severe OSA required higher PAP levels, and specific diagnostic indicators like nadir oxygen saturation could help predict the appropriate PAP settings.
