FedMSA: A Model Selection and Adaptation System for Federated Learning.

(FL) enables multiple clients to train a shared model collaboratively without sharing any personal data. However, selecting a model and adapting it quickly to meet user expectations in a large-scale FL application with heterogeneous devices is challenging. In this paper, we propose (FedMSA), which includes a hardware-aware model selection algorithm that trades-off model training efficiency and model performance base on FL developers' expectation.

The Importance of Differentiating Parsonage-Turner Syndrome From Cervical Radiculopathy: A Case Report.

Parsonage-Turner syndrome (PTS) is a rare disease process in which one develops acute-onset shoulder pain, followed by progressive weakness of the upper arm and shoulder girdle musculature. PTS is difficult to diagnose as it mimics similar presenting pathologies, most commonly, cervical radiculopathy (CR). Clinical presentation and diagnostic tests are particularly important to identify this rare syndrome, as the treatment for similar conditions may be more invasive.

Clinical characteristics, obstetric and perinatal outcome of COVID-19 Infection in pregnant women.

Objective: To determine clinical characteristics, obstetrics and perinatal outcome of coronavirus disease 2019 infection in pregnant women.

Methods: The cross-sectional study was conducted at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital, Karachi, and Dow University of Health Sciences, Karachi, from August 2020 to July 2021, and comprised pregnant women with suspicion of coronavirus disease 2019 infection, who underwent recommended testing, and were found to be positive. Oral swabs for the presence of infection were also taken from the neonate within 24 hours of delivery.

Background: Delivering high-quality care is paramount; however, evaluations show mixed results. Studies assessing improvement efforts in nonsurgical disciplines show suboptimal conduct, yet little is known about how well improvement efforts in surgery are conducted. This study evaluates local surgical improvement efforts to determine whether opportunities exist to improve their conduct.

Sodium-glucose Cotransporter-2 Inhibitors in Primary and Secondary Prevention of Cardiovascular and Renal Outcomes in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: A Meta-analysis.

Background: The available evidence was systematically reviewed to evaluate the effects of sodium-glucose cotransporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitors (SGLT2i) on cardiovascular (CV) and renal outcomes in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) or multiple risk factors (MRF), with or without heart failure (HF), and per estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) rate at baseline.

Methods: We comprehensively searched three electronic databases to retrieve publications up to 30th November 2019, which were screened for inclusion. The data extracted for the outcomes according to baseline ASCVD, HF, and eGFR levels were meta-analyzed using fixed effects model.

We present the application of three-dimensional susceptibility-weighted imaging technique for evaluation of pathologies of the spine and spinal cord. This work focuses on the advantage of this imaging technique as an adjunct to the conventional imaging to evaluate various disorders of the spine and spinal cord like trauma, degenerative diseases, vascular malformations, and tumours, where susceptibility-weighted imaging may offer valuable harmonising evidence that may be helpful in the diagnosis and management of the patients with these pathologies.

The study uses a transformative worldview to give voice to an economically marginalized group of tenant farmers vulnerable to climate changes due to their calamity prone geographical location. Drawing on anthropogenic global warming (AGW) theory lens, we examine the impact of manmade actions on climate change in District "Swat" and "Malakand" of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province, Pakistan using a sequential mixed methods research design. Through this research design, the results of quantitative survey were complemented with a qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews.
