Secondary outcomes included hospitalisation, mortality, health-related quality of life, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) severity, COPD self-efficacy, anxiety and depression.Two-centre randomised controlled trial recruiting patients with ≥2 prognostically important COPD-associated comorbidities.

View Article and Find Full Text PDFTumor targeting ligands are emerging components in cancer therapies. Widespread use of targeted therapies and molecular imaging is dependent on increasing the number of high affinity, tumor-specific ligands. Towards this goal, we biopanned three phage-displayed peptide libraries on a series of well-defined human non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cell lines, isolating 11 novel peptides.

Methods: We recruited participants following hospitalisation that included ICU admission and subsequent weaning in a specialised centre. We administered validated questionnaires to assess memory and recall of both care locations, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress symptomatology and health-related quality of life.
