Drought is an inevitable environmental stress that drastically hampers the growth, productivity, and quality of food crops. Exogenous sodium nitroprusside and spermidine have decisive functions in the growth enhancement of plants; nevertheless, their specific role in mediating stress responses to improve drought tolerance in sunflowers at the reproductive stage (terminal drought) remains largely unknown. In the present study, we explored the positive effects of sodium nitroprusside and spermidine on physiological responses to increase in sunflower yield during periods of terminal drought.

The metabolic responses of seeds produced overtransgenerational exposure to [CO] to recover drought's effects on wheat are still unexplored. Seeds were produced constantly for four generations (F1 to F4) under ambient CO ([CO], 400 μmol L) and elevated CO ([CO], 800 μmol L) concentrations, and then further regrown under natural CO conditions to investigate their effects on the stress memory metabolic processes liable for increasing drought resistance in the next generation (F5).

Beraprost sodium (BPS), prostacyclin analogue has been shown to vasodilatory, antiplatelates, anti-inflmmatory, and antioxidant activity. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of BPS on celecoxib cardiotoxicity in rats.

While rofecoxib and valdecoxib have been withdrawn, celecoxib remains on the market. Folic acid, a naturally occurring vitamin, has been shown to reduce myocardial ischemia and post-reperfusion injury in rats.

Murine homolog of this gene, mKirre expressed in OP9 and AFT024 cells could support hematopoietic stem cells/hematopoietic progenitor cells (HSC/HPC) expansion in vitro. HKirre is also expressed in human FBMOB-hTERT cell line and fetal liver fibroblast-like cells but its function has remained unclear.

These treatments can be expensive and sometimes toxic. We aimed to assess a drug and delivery system that is potentially more effective, safer, and easier to administer than those presently in use.

Many hospitals in developing countries see large numbers of patients and have few staff, so patients often have to wait before being assessed and treated.
Approach: We present the example of a busy Under-Fives Clinic that provided outpatient services, immunizations and treatment for medical emergencies.
