Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) has been documented in up to 62% of pregnant females. PA, a noninvasive treatment that utilizes photo therapy on acupoints, could aid in the management of CTS.

Objectives: The study's aim was to find predictors of body image perception scores among health care providers (HCPs) in Terengganu, Malaysia.

Methods: A cross-sectional study among 201 health care providers (HCPs) was conducted from January to March 2023. This study participants were drawn from a pool of HCPs with a BMI of 25 kg/m or higher.

Role of GABA receptors of the dorsomedial periaqueductal grey on blood pressure and heart rate in the anesthetized rat.

The midbrain dorsomedial periaqueductal grey column (dmPAG) is involved in the regulation of cardiovascular responses. Due to the presence of Gamma-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors in the dmPAG, this study aimed to investigate the role of GABA receptors in the dmPAG on cardiovascular parameters and its possible peripheral mechanisms. The left femoral artery was cannulated, and systolic arterial pressure (SAP), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and heart rate (HR) were recorded using a Power lab system.

RVH was induced by clipping the renal artery; the sham group underwent surgery but without clipping.

Most splenic cysts are of parasitic origin, while non-parasitic splenic cysts are less common. Splenic epidermoid cysts (SECs) are a rare subtype of non-parasitic cysts and compromise only around 10% of them.

Introduction: Occupational safety and health are of utmost importance in the palm oil industry, particularly in Malaysia where palm oil plantation workers face various hazards. This study aimed to translate and validate a risk perception questionnaire specifically designed to assess the perceptions of safety and health risks among palm oil plantation workers in Terengganu, Malaysia.

Methodology: The original risk perception questionnaire, consisting of 22 items, was translated into the local language and culturally adapted.

ACH, atropine (Atr, a muscarinic antagonist), and hexamethonium (Hex, an antagonist nicotinic) alone and together microinjected into lPAG, changes (Δ) of cardiovascular responses and normalized (n) LF, HF, and LF/HF ratio were analyzed.

Data on the prevalence and risk factors of low back pain (LBP) in Malaysia remain unclear as they are currently limited to specific settings and occupational groups. Therefore, this study aims to determine the prevalence and risk factors of low back pain in Malaysia. In this scoping review, we had systematically searched PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar from January 2016 to April 2020.

CT-guided radiofrequency ablation of painful intra-articular osteoid osteoma in children: Is there a concern for cartilage damage?

Objective: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of computed tomography-guided percutaneous radiofrequency ablation (PRFA) in the management of uncommon and technically challenging intra-articular osteoid osteoma in children.

Material And Methods: From December 2018 to September 2022, 16 children with intra-articular osteoid osteoma, including ten boys and six girls, were treated at two tertiary centers with percutaneous CT-guided RF ablation using a straight monopolar electrode. The procedures were carried out under general anesthesia.
