Objectives: The objective is to evaluate the efficacy of F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (F-FDG-PET) computed tomography (CT) in the evaluation of tumor response to preoperative/palliative chemoradiotherapy (CRT) for advanced colorectal cancer; including metastatic cancer at primary presentation and recurrent cancers with local and/or distant metastasis.

Materials And Methods: Fifty patients with advanced rectal cancer underwent two point imaging with 18 FDG PET-CT before and after 3 weeks of completion of preoperative/palliative CRT in between 2016 and 2022. Patients with locally recurrent cancer also underwent radical surgery.

Primary inferior vena cava(IVC) leiomyosarcoma (LMS) is an extremely rare retroperitoneal mesenchymal tumour with < 500 cases reported in literature so far. Patients always present with nonspecific complaints, hence delaying the actual diagnosis, and they are associated with poor oncological outcomes. Differentiating primary leiomyosarcoma from other pathologies affecting IVC-like bland thrombus, retroperitoneal liposarcomas and other tumours infiltrating IVC secondarily may be difficult at times.

The awareness of anatomical variations of hepatic arteries and celiac trunk is very important in interventional radiology, liver transplant and intra-abdominal oncologic surgeries. Radiology plays an important role in the identification of these variants non-invasively. Digital subtraction angiography was the gold standard for their identification.

The lung is the most common site of metastases in the case of phyllodes tumor of the breast followed by bone. However, pneumothorax as a presenting complaint in a patient of bilateral cavitating lung metastases from malignant phyllodes tumor of the breast has never been reported to our knowledge. We herein report a case of a 34-year-old female presenting with sudden onset of chest pain in already existing lung metastases who on imaging showed the development of bilateral pneumothorax.

Urachal adenocarcinoma is an unusual and aggressive form of bladder cancer that arises from urachus, a midline fibrous remnant of allantois. Experience with diagnosing them is limited and differentiating urachal adenocarcinoma from other urachal pathologies like infected urachal cysts may be difficult at times. Differentials of urachal anomalies can be narrowed down by proper assessment of patient demographics, clinical details, lesion morphology, and imaging findings.

Autonomous Ultrasound Image Quality Assessment (US-IQA) is a promising tool to aid the interpretation by practicing sonographers and to enable the future robotization of ultrasound procedures. However, autonomous US-IQA has several challenges. Ultrasound images contain many spurious artifacts, such as noise due to handheld probe positioning, errors in the selection of probe parameters and patient respiration during the procedure.

We encountered a giant dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) of the neck and chest wall which presented a challenge in terms of perioperative analgesia management. In recent years, erector spinae plane (ESP) block has emerged as an effective and safe analgesia technique for various surgical procedures as well as for chronic neuropathic pain without any untoward complications. A continuous lower cervical ESP block can be used successfully as an effective analgesic technique for extensive DFSP surgery involving the neck and chest wall area.

The purpose is to discuss abdominal tuberculosis mimicking malignancy involving the abdominal viscera. TB of the abdominal viscera is common, especially in countries where tuberculosis is endemic and in pockets of non-endemic countries. Diagnosis is challenging as clinical presentations are often non-specific.

Purpose: Cancer-related complications (CrC) and any potentially life-threatening findings detected on routine oncological imaging requires urgent intervention and needs proactive management. We conducted a retrospective study to highlight the role of imaging in the detection of CrC on computed tomography (CT)-scan while sharing our experience at a tertiary care cancer hospital.

Materials And Methods: All the reports of the CT scans performed in our department between January 2018 and December 2019 were reviewed and the imaging findings of CrC were recorded.

Nonspecific aorto-arteritis (NSAA) may involve the myocardium in the form of edema and fibrosis. We conducted this study to investigate role of cardiac MRI including late gadolinium enhancement (LGE), T1 and T2 mapping in the assessment of cardiac involvement in NSAA.  Over the period between 2016 and 2019, 36 patients with NSAA presenting with uncontrolled hypertension, left ventricular dysfunction, congestive cardiac failure, or tachyarrhythmia were included in the study.

Percutaneous radiologic gastrostomy is an established mode of enteral feeding for nutritional support for patients with dysphagia from upper digestive tract malignancy. Its role as a rescue measure in patients with advanced malignancy, presenting with absolute dysphagia and failure of nasogastric tube insertion has not been well established.  This study was performed to assess technical success and long-term outcomes of percutaneous radiologic gastrostomy (push type) for nutritional support for patients with absolute dysphagia as a last ditch nonsurgical rescue effort for enteral access.

T1 and T2 mapping techniques on cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) provide insights into the myocardial tissue characterisation. We sought to establish the normal reference values of native T1 and T2 mapping in Indian population which can be used subsequently in clinical practice for addressing various cardiac pathologies. This prospective study included consecutive healthy volunteers (18-60 years) who underwent CMR on a 1.

Background: Performing ultrasound during the current pandemic time is quite challenging. To reduce the chances of cross-infection and keep healthcare workers safe, a robotic ultrasound system was developed, which can be controlled remotely. It will also pave way for broadening the reach of ultrasound in remote distant rural areas as well.

Background: Non-invasive biomarkers for early chemotherapeutic response in Ewing sarcoma family of tumors (ESFT) are useful for optimizing existing treatment protocol.

Purpose: To assess the role of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in the early evaluation of chemotherapeutic response in ESFT.

Material And Methods: A total of 28 patients (mean age = 17.

Lymphoedema is a chronic debilitating condition characterised by diffuse swelling caused by lymphatic obstruction. The secondary form of lymphoedema is more common than the primary form. Untreated filariasis remains an important cause of lymphoedema in developing countries.

Background: Primary extramedullary plasmacytomas (EMP) are rare; however, secondary forms may be seen in ~10-15% of patients with systemic multiple myeloma (MM). The diagnosis of EMP is based on the demonstration of monoclonal plasma cells in the lesion, which requires tissue sampling.

Case Presentation: We present a case of a 38 year old female with MM who underwent diagnostic US at our institute.

Aortic involvement can be secondary to various pathologic disease processes. These may result in stenotic or aneurysmal aortic lesions with a varied spectrum of imaging findings including intra-luminal, mural, and periaortic changes along with associated loco-regional or distal changes, depending on the etiology. Multidetector computer tomography with its recent advances has become the frontline imaging modality for the evaluation of aortic pathologies.
