It is known that exercise increases brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) levels in the hippocampus, the brain region responsible for learning and memory, resulting in improved cognitive functions and learning processes. However, it is claimed that different types of exercise cause different responses in the brain. It is thought that lactate and osteocalcin secreted in response to exercise are associated with an increase in BDNF levels.

Developed techniques include laparoscopic, endoscopic, and hybrid methods for gastric GIST resection. Our study, focusing on single-incision laparoscopic intragastric resection for gastric GISTs, aims to evaluate its safety, efficacy, and long-term outcomes.

In this study, five different chemical structures of pyrazolo [3,4-b] pyridine derivatives were synthesized. The gamma and neutron radiation protective abilities of these samples were determined and demonstrated their potential use as ingredients in radioprotective drugs.

Reserpine (1 mg kg) was subcutaneously injected once daily for three consecutive days and then the rats were exercised for 21 days. Mechanical allodynia was evaluated 1, 11, and 21 days after the last injection.

Purpose: To analyze the effect of scanning modes on the accuracy of the Trios intraoral scanner (IOS) for full-arch digital implant impressions.
Materials And Methods: The trueness and precision of the intraoral scanning mode (IOSM) and the intraoral edentulous scanning mode (IOEM) of the Trios IOS were evaluated in three edentulous models, each featuring four, six, and eight implant analogs. Reference scanning data were obtained by scanning each model with a desktop scanner.
The optimal scan pattern for full-arch digital implant impressions remains to be determined. This study aimed to analyze the effects of different scan patterns on the trueness of intraoral scanners for full-arch digital implant impressions. A maxillary plaster model with 4 implant analogs was employed as the master model.

This paper identifies preschool teachers' sources of stress, the times they experience high stress, and their ways of coping with stress levels. The study was conducted using a phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research models. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews with 36 preschool teachers working with children aged 0-6 in state and private schools.

The diagnostic odyssey in PALF cases hinders appropriate management and follow-up after liver transplantation. Advances in whole exome sequencing analysis have already been successful at identifying new genetic causes of PALF.

VPs are successfully utilized in developing various effective skills like medical interview. However, this technology is quite new in Turkey and has not yet been used in communication skills training in a structured form.

This retrospective study aimed to compare the peripapillary choroidal vascularity index (CVI) between young smokers who smoked less than 5 packs/year and non-smokers. The study included 52 smokers and 67 non-smokers, and comprehensive eye examinations were performed on all participants. Axial lengths (AL) were measured, and peripapillary enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography (EDI-OCT) images were obtained and evaluated using the Open Source ImageJ software.

Objectives: To analyze the effect of COVID-19 on early implant failures and identify potential risk factors for early implant failure, concerning patient- and implant-related factors.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective study is based on 1228 patients who received 4841 implants between March 11, 2020, and April 01, 2022, at Erciyes University Faculty of Dentistry. COVID-19, age and gender of patients, smoking, diabetes, irradiation, chemotherapy, osteoporosis, the implant system, location, and characteristics of implants were recorded.
Background: Kidney transplantation is the predominant treatment option in patients with end-stage renal disease. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of the presence of a psychiatric disorder on the quality of life in children and adolescents after kidney transplantation.
Methods: A total of 43 patients aged 6 to 18 years were included in the study.
Purpose: To examine visual evoked potential (VEP) changes following botulinum toxin type A (BTA) administration in patients with blepharospasm.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with blepharospasm receiving BTA administration were included in the study. Three groups, a control group and two study groups (patients examined 14 days after BTA administration-Study Group 1, and patients examined 28 days after BTA administration-Study Group 2) were evaluated.
Purpose: Nurses have a very important role in diabetes education of children and adolescents, however, no systematic review has been performed that evaluates the effectiveness of the independent interventions of the nurses. This systematic review aims to identify and assess randomized controlled trials (RCT) that included interventions implemented by nurses to improve glycemic control for children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes.
Eligibility Criteria: PubMed, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct databases were systematically searched up to 2022.
Background: Enriching the undergraduate nursing main courses innovative approaches such as flipped classroom method, which may aid improving students' metacognitive learning strategies, are regarded to be very important in terms of enhancing critical thinking and problem-solving skills in nursing care.
Aim: This study aimed to determine if there were significant differences in performance and critical thinking skills of nursing students who were taught using the flipped classroom method versus those who were taught using the online traditional learning approach. Another aim was for students to describe their opinions of using the flipped classroom method.

Purpose: To examine the stress distribution in the maxillary All-on-4 treatment concept supported by implants of different diameters under two different loading forces using finite element analysis.
Materials And Methods: Two distinct All-on-4 designs were prepared in a fully edentulous maxilla, supported by 3.3- and 4.
Objective: This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of 2% chlorhexidine gluconate in 70% alcohol with that of 10% povidone-iodine, for dressing changes in pediatric hematology-oncology patients with port catheters, in preventing catheter-related bloodstream infection (CRBSI).
Methods: In this prospective, multicenter, observational, and cross-sectional study, 45 patients (25 patients for chlorhexidine, 20 patients for povidone-iodine) with port catheters were evaluated from January 2018 to May 2019. The sociodemographic, clinical, and port catheter-related variables were evaluated.

Background: Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is a frequently performed operation. Leaks are formidable complications; however, the optimal management of these leaks is controversial.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of 15 patients referred to our tertiary center between 2012 and 2016 with leaks after LSG.
The aim of this study was to investigate the potential neuroprotective efficacy of coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) against doxorubicin (DOX) -induced behavioral disturbances in rats. Female rats were randomly assigned into 4 groups as control, CoQ10, DOX, and DOX plus CoQ10. The CoQ10 groups received CoQ10 (200 mg kg) for 21 days, and the DOX groups received DOX (4 mg kg) on days 7 and 14 of the study.
