Radiological Perspectives in Congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss: Insights from Cochlear Implant Candidates.

Congenital hearing loss is a significant health concern, with diverse etiologies encompassing cochlear and cochleovestibular pathologies. Preoperative radiological evaluation in cochlear implant candidates is pivotal for treatment planning. We aim to elucidate the spectrum of radiological findings in patients with congenital hearing loss undergoing cochlear implant assessment.

Results of carotid stenting in patients with contralateral internal carotid artery occlusion: a retrospective single-center analysis and 22 years of experience.

Purpose: Patients with contralateral carotid artery occlusion (CCO) represent a subgroup of patients at risk for revascularization procedures. The choice of appropriate revascularization procedure (carotid endarterectomy (CEA) or carotid artery stenting (CAS)) in these patients is controversial. The aim of this study is to share the results of clinical and radiological follow-up after CAS in these patients and to contribute to the literature by evaluating the efficacy and safety of stenting.

Case report: Surgical management of type 2 aortic dissection associated with bicuspid aortic valve and aortic coarctation.

This case report describes an exceptional case of aortic aneurysm co-occurring with type II dissection, bicuspid aortic valve, and severe aortic valve regurgitation in a patient with aortic coarctation. A 39-year-old man without any medical history was admitted to the hospital with chest pain. Physical examination revealed a holosystolic murmur and a noticeable blood pressure difference between the upper and lower extremities.
