In this work, a novel series of pyridazine-triazole hybrid molecules were prepared and evaluated as inhibitors of rat intestinal α-glucosidase enzyme. Amongst all newly synthesized compounds, 10k showed good inhibition in the series with IC value of 1.7 µM which is 100 folds stronger than positive control, acarbose.

Through the compounds , methylimidazole containing derivative was recognized as the most active compound against promastigotes exhibiting IC values of 11.

Among the various synthesized compounds, (E)-1-(2,3-dibromobenzyl)-4-((7-ethoxy-4-oxochroman-3-ylidene)methyl)pyridinium bromide (8l) depicted the most potent anti-AChE activity (IC50 = 0.048 μM).
