Drug delivery to the ocular system is affected by anatomical factors like the corneal epithelium, blinking reflex, aqueous blood barrier, and retinal blood barrier, which lead to quick removal from the site and inefficient drug delivery. Developing a drug delivery mechanism that targets specific eye tissue is a major hurdle for researchers. Our study examines the challenges of drug absorption in these pathways.

Purpose: To present the 7-year experience of a tertiary eye hospital while exploring possible risk factors and incidence of infectious keratitis in patients undergoing standard corneal cross-linking (CXL).

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included patients with progressive keratoconus undergoing standard CXL in the Farabi Eye Hospital and all other patients who had undergone CXL in other facilities and were diagnosed as having infectious keratitis in the 7-year period of the study.

Purpose: To determine orbital anatomical parameters that affect surgical outcome of deep lateral orbital wall decompression.

Methods: Twenty orbits of 20 patients with moderate proptosis (maximum 25 mm) due to thyroid eye disease who were stable for at least 6 months were included in this prospective cohort study.
