Antibiotics are widely used in medicine, but they are not fully metabolized in the body and can end up in wastewater. Conventional wastewater treatment methods fail to completely remove antibiotic residues, which can then enter rivers and streams. Adsorption is a promising technique for removing antibiotics from wastewater, even at low concentrations.

Goal of current study was fabrication of novel voltammetric nanosensor for the synchronize quantification of ascorbic acid (AA) and paracetamol (PAR) by nickel-cobalt salen complexes encapsulated in the supercages of NaA nanozeolite modified carbon paste electrode (NiCoSalenA/CPE). For this purpose, NiCoSalenA nanocomposite was firstly prepared and characterized by various methods. Also, cyclic voltammetry (CV), choronoamperometry (CHA) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) were utilized to evaluate performance of the modified electrodes.

In this present paper, a simple voltammetric method has been reported for the simultaneous determination of acetaminophen (AC), pramipexole (PRX) and carbamazepine (CBZ) using ZSM-5 nanozeolite-TiO nanoparticles composite modified carbon paste electrode (ZSM-5/TiO/CPE). X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and N adsorption-desorption isotherm were used to characterize the structure of synthesized ZSM-5 nanozeolite. Also, cyclic voltammetry (CV), choronoamperometry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) were used to investigate the performance of the modified electrode.

Resolution of binary mixtures of theophylline (THEO), montelukast (MKST) and loratadine (LORA) with minimum sample pre-treatment and without analyte separation has been successfully achieved by multivariate spectrophotometric calibration, together with partial least-squares (PLS-1), principal component regression (PCR) and hybrid linear analysis (HLA). Data of analysis were obtained from UV-Vis spectra of three compounds. The method of central composite design was used in the ranges of 2-14 and 3-11 mg L for calibration and validation sets, respectively.

One of the main difficulties in quantification of dyes in industrial wastewaters is the fact that dyes are usually in complex mixtures rather than being pure. Here we report the development of two rapid and powerful methods, partial least squares (PLS-1) and artificial neural network (ANN), for spectral resolution of a highly overlapping ternary dye system in the presence of interferences. To this end, Crystal Violet (CV), Malachite Green (MG) and Methylene Blue (MB) were selected as three model dyes whose UV-Vis absorption spectra highly overlap each other.
