Unusual Breast Metastasis from Atypical Lung Carcinoid on 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT.

Background: Atypical carcinoid (AC) is one of the rarest lung neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) that rarely metastasize to the breast, and only a few cases have been reported in the literature. Positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) with somatostatin analogs (SSAs) labeled with Gallium-68 (68Ga) now represents the gold standard for diagnosis and management of NETs. A case of an unusual metastasis to the breast from an AC detected by 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT was reported.

Investigation of cypermethrin toxicity in Swiss albino mice with physiological, genetic and biochemical approaches.

In this study, cypermethrin toxicity was investigated using physiological, biochemical and cytogenetic parameters, and more than one organ and cell type was preferred to determine these effects. In this multifaceted study, the genotoxicity mechanism of cypermethrin was elucidated by molecular docking. In addition, comet assay technique was applied to detect and quantify DNA damage at the cell level.

Detection of COVID-19 Incidentally in Ga-PSMA PET/CT for Restaging of Prostate Cancer.

Background: A series of pneumonia cases with clinical presentations of viral pneumonia secondary to new coronavirus and subsequent global transmission arose in Wuhan, Hubei, China, in December 2019. Several cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have been described incidentally in positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET/CT) with F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) as a result of the pandemic. Herein, we describe the findings of a patient with unknown COVID-19 in PET/CT with the other radiopharmaceutical, Ga-labeled prostatespecific membrane antigen (Ga-PSMA).

Correlation between 25-hydroxy vitamin D levels and COVID-19 severity in pregnant women: a cross-sectional study.

Objective: To evaluate the relationship between 25-hydroxy vitamin D (25(OH)D) levels and disease severity in hospitalized COVID-19 positive pregnant women.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the relationship between volumetric parameters calculated using semiautomatic quantification of lesions detected in 68Ga-labeled prostate-specific membrane antigen PET-computed tomography (68Ga-PSMA PET/CT) and clinical characteristics in prostate cancer (PCa) patients with biochemical recurrence.

Methods: A total of 85 consecutive PCa patients with biochemical recurrence who underwent 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT at our institution from January 2019 to March 2020 were retrospectively assessed. 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT-derived volumetric parameters, including whole-body PSMA tumor volume (wbPSMA-TV) and whole-body total lesion PSMA (wbTL-PSMA), as well as the established maximum and mean standardized uptake value (SUVmax and SUVmean), were calculated for each patient.

Vertical transmission of SARS-CoV-2: A prospective cross-sectional study from a tertiary center.

The aim was to investigate the association of the delivery mode and vertical transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) through the samples of vaginal secretions, placenta, cord blood, or amniotic fluid as well as the neonatal outcomes. This cross-sectional study presents an analysis of prospectively gathered data collected at a single tertiary hospital. Sixty-three pregnant women with confirmed coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) participated in the study.

Do follicular fluid advanced glycation end products levels affect the ovarian response in unexplained infertility?

Objective: To compare the advanced glycation end products (AGEs) levels in follicular fluid according to the different ovarian responses of women who underwent controlled ovarian stimulation due to unexplained infertility and to examine the relationship between these levels and pregnancy outcomes.

Methods: Sixty-three women who underwent fresh IVF/ICSI cycles with GNRH antagonist protocol were divided into 3 groups according to the number of retrieved oocytes as suboptimal (4-9 oocytes), optimal (10-15 oocytes) and high (>15 oocytes) responders. AGEs levels in follicular fluid were measured by ELISA method.

The Effects of Water Immersion during First Stage of Labor on Postpartum Systemic Inflammatory Response.

Objective: The systemic inflammatory response is a cascade of physiologic reactions that arise in response to trauma, infection, burn, or any kind of injury. This study aimed to determine the effects of water immersion during the first stage of labor on the systemic inflammatory indices in the postpartum period.

Materials And Methods: In this retrospective study, 125 healthy multiparous women with uncomplicated pregnancies between 37 and 41 weeks of gestation who elected for immersion in water during the first stage of labor were compared with multiparous uncomplicated term women who had conventional vaginal births on land (n=125).

Test-retest reliability, convergent validity and cross-cultural adaptation of Turkish version of the Hand10 questionnaire.

Background: The Hand10 Questionnaire is composed of 10 short, easy to understand and illustrated questions and was developed to measure upper extremity disorders. Thanks to these features, unlike other questionnaires that assess upper extremity disorders, it can be used in the elderly and children as well as adults. The aim of this study was to cross-culturally adapt the Hand10 into Turkish and to test its reliability and validity.

Subcutaneous tissue stiffness of cesarean incision scar by elastography as a predictor of intra-abdominal adhesions.

Aim: This study aimed to investigate whether subcutaneous tissue stiffness of the previous cesarean section (CS) skin incision could predict the severity of the intra-abdominal adhesions at a repeat CS.

Methods: In this prospective cross-sectional study, pregnant women with at least one prior cesarean delivery were included. The subcutaneous tissue stiffness of the previous CS skin scar was measured by shear wave elastography (SWE) on the day of the repeat CS and the intra-abdominal adhesions were recorded by an adhesion classification scheme specific for CS.

Objective: The aim of the study was to compare the outcome of assisted reproductive treatment fresh cycles, in patients with low prognosis which were stratified according to the POSEIDON (Patient-Oriented Strategies Encompassing IndividualizeD Oocyte Number) criteria.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort study including all fresh assisted reproductive treatment cycles age < 44 years, between January and December 2017 was carried out from patient records of Zekai Tahir Burak Women Health Care Education and Research Hospital IVF Clinic. A total of 525 IVF cycles were analyzed and 276 patients fulfilling the POSEIDON criteria for poor ovarian response (POR) were included in the study.

Comparison between single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography and ultrasound in preoperative detection of parathyroid adenoma: retrospective review of an institutional experience.

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of technetium- 99m-methoxyisobutylisonitrile (Tc-MIBI) single-photon emission computed tomography/computed tomography (SPECT/CT) and ultrasound in preoperative localization of single parathyroid adenomas (PTAs) in patients with primary hyperparathyroidism (pHPT) who would be suitable for minimally invasive parathyroidectomy (MIP).

Methods: A retrospective study of 143 consecutive patients with biochemical evidence of hyperparathyroidism who underwent preoperative localization of parathyroid lesions using Tc-MIBI SPECT/CT and ultrasound, and proceeded to parathyroid surgery at our institution from January 2013 to January 2018. Of these, 125 had single adenomas and are the subject of this study.

Test-Retest Reliability of Isokinetic Wrist Strength and Proprioception Measurements.
