Micro size antennas have significant merits due to the small size effect, enabling new device concepts. However, the low-quality factor (Q-factor), the large size of impedance matching components, and the poor selectivity of the multi-array design remain challenging issues. To solve these issues, a floating coil structure stacked on a loop micro-antenna is suggested.

Using a recently released reanalysis dataset on global biogeochemistry, a comprehensive analysis was conducted on the complex biogeochemical seasonal cycle and the impact of climate change with a focus in areas within the meridional excursion of the sea ice boundary-coastal and continental shelf zone (CCSZ) and seasonal sea ice zone (SIZ). The seasonal cycles of primary production and related nutrients are closely linked with the seasonal changes in sea ice and sea surface temperatures.

In this study, the CSEOF technique is used to investigate the physical and chemical mechanisms associated with the weekly PM variation in South Korea. For this end, 9 years of hourly measurements of PM in South Korea is used together with other gaseous contaminants (NO, SO, CO and O) and traffic counts at the toll gates. The diurnal variation of PM concentrations indicates a significant correlation with human activities; higher concentrations in densely populated areas with a large volume of traffics and vice versa.

A color-sensitive and spectrometer-free sensing method using plasmonic nanohole arrays and the color components, L* , a* , and b* , of the CIELAB defined by the international commission on illumination (CIE) is introduced for the analysis of optically transparent materials in the visible range. Spectral analysis based on plasmonic nanoparticles or nanostructures can be applied to real-time bio-detection, but complex optical instrumentations and low spatial resolution have limited the sensing ability. Therefore, we take an advantage of color image processing instead of spectral analysis which induces the distinctive color information of plasmonic nanohole arrays with different transparent materials.

An amorphous indium gallium zinc oxide (α-IGZO) TFT with magnetic antenna structure was fabricated and studied for this purpose. To enhance the induction coupling efficiency while maintaining the same small antenna size, a magnetic core structure consisting of Ni and nanowires was formed under the antenna.
