Strabismus associated with Crouzon syndrome is common and often complex. V-pattern strabismus is most commonly reported in this condition and is mainly thought to be due to an excyclorotation of the orbits and rectus muscle pulleys. We report two cases of children with Crouzon syndrome and V-pattern exotropia who had rectus muscle heterotopy on orbital imaging and were also found intraoperatively to have anomalous extraocular muscles.

Methods: A total of 29 seropositive RA patients not treated for osteoporosis were enrolled and TNF inhibitors were administered for a year. Bone mineral density (BMD) at the lumbar spine, femur neck, and total hip was measured at baseline and 12 months after anti-TNF treatment.

Here, we report that the IAEs in layer structured [GdC]·2e electride behave as ferromagnetic elements in two-dimensional interlayer space and possess their own magnetic moments of ~0.52 μ per quasi-atomic IAE, which facilitate the exchange interactions between interlayer gadolinium atoms across IAEs, inducing the ferromagnetism in [GdC]·2e electride.

We investigated the presence of HF and their association with dyslipidemia in serous retinal detachment (SRD)-type diabetic macular edema (DME).
Methods: Forty-two eyes in 42 patients with diabetic retinopathy (DR) and 22 eyes in 22 patients with branch retinal vascular occlusion (BRVO) showing macular edema were included in this study.
l-tryptophan (TrP) was investigated as a functional film-forming additive on a lithium-rich layered oxide cathode because it has a much lower oxidation potential than other common carbonate-based electrolytes. Owing to its prior oxidation to a base electrolyte, an artificial cathode-electrolyte interphase (CEI) was formed on the cathode surface, which could be confirmed via X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy and verified through density functional theory calculations. The functional film formed on the cathode surface suppressed the side reactions between the cathode and electrolyte during cell cycling.

Methods: We used HIRA database, which includes diagnostic information of nearly all Korean nationals to collect number of cases with diagnosis of schizophrenia and schizophrenia-similar disorders (SSP), including schizophreniform, acute/transient psychotic disorders, schizoaffective disorders, and other/unspecific nonorganic psychosis (ICD-10 codes F20/23/25/28/29) between 2010 and 2015. The annual prevalence and incidence were calculated using the population data from the Korean Statistical Office.

The survey results indicated that antibiotics, parasitic drugs, anticoccidial, or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are broadly used, and this use in livestock is associated with the appearance of residues in various animal products such as milk, meat, and eggs. We observed that different cooking procedures, heating temperatures, storage times, fermentation, and pH have the potential to decrease drug residues in animal products.
