The relationship between business competition and welfare in Indonesia.

This research freshly investigates the effect of business competition on national welfare in Indonesia. This research uses business competition index data obtained from the Indonesia Competition Commission (KPPU) and welfare indicators data collected from the Indonesian Bureau of Central Statistics (BPS) at the economic sectoral and provincial levels for the period 2018-2020. The relationship between business competition and welfare is estimated using pooled regression model combining year, economic sector, and province.

Personality traits influence food cravings in pregnant women.

Food craving is a common phenomenon during pregnancy. This behaviour may be influenced by personality traits that have been known to be linked with obesity and addiction affecting pregnancy outcomes. We identified the prevalence of food cravings and evaluated its relationship with personality traits in pregnant women.

Objective: This study aimed to conduct a psychometric evaluation of the Adherence to Refills and Medications Scale (ARMS) among patients with HIV/AIDS in Indonesia.

Methods: Psychometric analysis was conducted at 2 hospitals and 7 public health centers at the voluntary counseling and testing clinic. Content validity was measured by assessing the relevance and clarity of each ARMS item.

Therefore, this research aims to improve the routine health data quality that have been collected and integrated into Aplikasi Satu Data Kesehatan (ASDK) as the primary health data system in Indonesia.

Effects of Different Capsulotomy and Fragmentation Energy Levels on the Generation of Oxidative Stress Following Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery.

Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of different capsulotomy and fragmentation energy levels on the production of oxidative free radicals following femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS) with a low-energy platform.

Methods: The experimental study included 60 porcine eyes (12 groups). In each group, capsulotomies with 90% or 150% energy, and fragmentations with 90%, 100%, or 150% energy or 150% with high spot density, respectively, were performed.

Stunting prevalence in South Kalimantan has been higher than the national figure and is the sixth highest in Indonesia. Not many studies in South Kalimantan have analysed the risk factors for stunting comprehensively that combine sociodemographic factors, utilization of maternal health services, and characteristics of children. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to analyse sociodemographic factors, utilization of maternal health services, and characteristics of children under 5 as determinants of stunting in South Kalimantan Province.

Cardiovascular disease detection from high utility rare rule mining.

We propose a method to search rare cardiovascular disease symptom rules from historical health examination records according to its hazard ratio utility and further detect the disease given new medical record data. Further, we aim to assist both medical experts and patients by alerting the current symptoms and preparing the early treatments. In general, the proposed method first deals with the uncertainty of age and other continuous features using a fuzzy set.

The Effects of High Energy Capsulotomy on Aqueous Cytokine Profiles and Pupil Size During Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery.

Purpose: To assess whether aqueous cytokine profiles and pupil size are altered when high capsulotomy energy is used in eyes undergoing femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery (FLACS), and if preoperative use of a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) has an effect on this.

Methods: This prospective study recruited 83 eyes (63 patients) that were allocated to four treatment groups: conventional phacoemulsification (n = 20 eyes); FLACS with 90% capsulotomy energy without NSAID pretreatment (n = 20 eyes); FLACS with 90% capsulotomy energy with NSAID pre-treatment (n = 21 eyes); and FLACS with 150% capsulotomy energy with NSAID pretreatment (n = 22 eyes). Aqueous humor was collected before and after phacoemulsification to assess cytokine profiles.

Interestingly, RGS (Regulators of G protein signaling) proteins, which negatively regulate GPCR signaling, have been associated with various cancers, with some members of the RGS family being associated with liver cancer as well. Considering this, we investigated the role of RGS20 as a potential prognostic marker in 28 different cancer types with special emphasis on HCC.

Background: The success of a basic immunization program among children has been known as the cheapest and most effective approach in improving child survival against preventable diseases. This study aims to examine the determinant factors at the individual and contextual level that affect the provision of complete basic immunization for children aged 12-23 months in Sumatra, Indonesia.

Methods: Using the 2020 Indonesia National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS) data, a multilevel binary logistic regression model was developed at the individual level and the regency/municipality level as the first and second level of analysis respectively.
