A boy in middle childhood presented with complaints of swelling and pain in his right forearm for 4 months. He had previously undergone left above-elbow amputation due to a suspected malignant tumour in that arm. Radiological imaging revealed a locally aggressive bone tumour of the right distal radius.

In this study we aim to assess the diagnostic accuracy of Gazelle, a point-of-care (POC) testing device, in screening for BTT in hospital laboratory setting. Methods Standards for Reporting Diagnostic Accuracy (STARD) guidelines were followed in developing study design, recruiting study participants and sample size calculation for the current research.

This study assessed the VOC burden, its management and its impact on patients' quality of life (QoL). A cross-sectional observational study was conducted between November 2021 and June 2022, including 1000 SCD patients from high-prevalence states in India.

Methods On a mandibular first molar tooth model, features of a class II mesio-occlusal cavity were designed. Following the application of EverX Posterior and Activa Bioactive, the model was subjected to a 600 N static occlusal load.

This was a cross-sectional study on patients diagnosed with B-cell neoplasms on flowcytometry. The median fluorescence intensity (MFI) of CD43, CD200 expressing neoplastic B-cells were compared between the CLL and non-CLL B-cell neoplasms followed by receiver operating characreristic curve (ROC) analysis.

This disorder remains unacceptably underdiagnosed in India. Early diagnosis and appropriate management of HA can substantially prevent morbidity and mortality.

These factors create huge hindrances in the regular and proper operations of companies in staying relevant in market while catering to the services they provide. In such cases, in order to maintain and achieve their internal goals should any possible losses that the grave situation might incur, relevant experts within these firms must arrive at optimal decisions taking into account human cognition as well as all possibilities of risk and regrets.

Methods: An advisory board meeting was conducted with experts in haemophilia care from Asia to understand the heterogeneity in clinical practices and care provision in the region.
Findings: The overall prevalence of haemophilia in Asia ranges between 3 and 8.
Introduction: Voriconazole is a triazole anti-fungal with non-linear kinetics and a narrow therapeutic range. The objective of our study was to monitor the voriconazole serum levels in children with hematological malignancy and clinically suspected invasive fungal infections.
Methods: The study was a prospective, randomized controlled trial conducted from June 2016 to December 2017.
To clarify the significance of bone marrow fibrosis and amyloid deposition in plasma cell neoplasm, a retrospective cross-sectional study for a period of 3 years was conducted. Patients who underwent bone marrow aspiration and biopsy with suspicion of plasma cell neoplasms were included in the study. The bone marrow findings were correlated with clinical profile of the patient along with biochemical parameters, cytogenetics, Fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) wherever available.

Aim: This study assessed the economic evaluation of emicizumab treatment for non-inhibitor severe haemophilia A (HA) patients in India.
Methods: A Markov model evaluated the cost-effectiveness of emicizumab prophylaxis compared to on-demand therapy (ODT), low-dose prophylaxis (LDP; 1565 IU/kg/year), intermediate-dose prophylaxis (IDP; 3915 IU/kg/year) and high-dose prophylaxis (HDP; 7125 IU/kg/year) for HA patients without factor VIII inhibitors.
Sap from the fresh seaweed (KA) has been reported to improve crop growth, quality, and stress alleviation. However, limited studies are reported for the minimally processed aqueous homogenates (MPHs) derived from dry seaweeds. The present investigation was envisaged to characterize the MPHs from the red seaweed KA and a brown seaweed (SW) and also assess the effect of foliar application on maize () crop performance when applied alone or in proportions ranging from 0% to 100%.

In resource-limited settings like India, affordability is a significant challenge in managing patients with severe HA. This study aims to assess the cost-effectiveness of intermediate-dose prophylaxis versus on-demand factor therapy in adult and pediatric populations with moderate-to-severe congenital HA without inhibitors in India.

Plants respond to such attacks by activating a sophisticated signaling cascade that initiates with the recognition of pests/pathogens and may culminate into a resistance response. Lipids, being the structural components of cellular membranes, function as mediators of these signaling cascades and thus are instrumental in the regulation of plant defense responses.

Immunophenotyping by flow cytometry (FCM) is a useful diagnostic tool for the evaluation of mature B-cell neoplasms (MBN). Here, CD200 expression may play a significant role and improve the distinction between various MBNs, but any potential as a prognostic marker is yet to be established. The present prospective study was conducted on all the suspected cases of MBNs.

To achieve universal health coverage (UHC), the Indian healthcare system is gearing up by initiating several schemes such as National Health Protection Scheme, Ayushman Bharat, Nutrition Supplementation Schemes, and Inderdhanush Schemes. The healthcare delivery system is facing challenges such as irrational use of medicines, over- and under-diagnosis, high out-of-pocket expenditure, lack of targeted attention to preventive and promotive health services, and poor referral mechanisms.

However, PCs enumeration by flow cytometry is challenging owing to discrepancy with morphology and PCs loss during sample processing. Enumeration and differentiation of abnormal plasma cells (APCs) and normal plasma cells (NPCs) is difficult because abnormal antigen expression can be seen in subsets of NPCs.
