Disease-related malnutrition remains a health problem with a high prevalence that increases the risk of poor patient outcomes, in addition to an elevation of healthcare costs. The aim of this study was to evaluate the nutritional quality of the menus at Ribera Molina Hospital, including their adequacy regarding recommended daily nutrient intakes and the agreement with the theoretical nutrition information provided by catering. The mean levels of energy, macronutrients, vitamins, and minerals provided by the basal, diabetic, and soft diets were calculated through the weighing of plated food served throughout the first 14 days of February 2020.

Malnutrition in cancer patients is one of the most influential factors in the evolution and mortality of such patients. To reduce the incidence of malnutrition, it is necessary to establish a correct nutritional intervention. For this purpose, precise tools and indicators must be developed to determine the patient's condition.

This eusuchian crocodylomorph was originally described as a putative Crocodylia and one of the oldest representatives of this clade; however, its phylogenetic position remains controversial. Based on new data obtained from high resolution Computed Tomography images (by micro-CT scan), this study aims to improve the original description of this taxon and also update the scarce neuroanatomical knowledge of Eusuchia and Crocodylia from this time interval, a key period to understand the origin and evolution of these clades.

Recently, a growing body of evidence supports a putative role of autophagy in chronic lymphocytic leukemia; however, no definitive clue has been established so far. To elucidate this issue, we have developed a pilot study to measure autophagic flux in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients, and explored its correlation with classical clinical/analytical parameters.

Some studies have revealed cavities of varying sizes inside some titanosaur osteoderms, interpreted as the result of bone remodeling for mineral mobilization. Several hypotheses have been proposed to explain the need for mineral mobilization in titanosaurs.

However, its disadvantages of pungent taste, volatility, light sensitivity and poor water solubility can be solved by applying microencapsulation or complexation techniques.
Results: Essential CO was successfully solubilized in aqueous solution by forming inclusion complexes with β-cyclodextrins (β-CDs).
The capacity of cyclodextrins (CDs) to extract phenolic compounds from grape pomace was evaluated and compared with that of ethanol/water or aqueous extraction. The extraction method (stirring and ultrasound), temperature and time were also studied. Total phenolic compounds (TPC) and antioxidant activity were measured, and HPLC analysis was used to identify the phenolic compounds.

Except for 4 ℃, TP decreased during storage at 25 ℃ and 50 ℃, being softer for fortified samples with β-CDs. The protective effect was evident, since 50 ℃ samples containing β-CDs exhibited lower TP loss (19%) than control samples (38%) for 5 months storage.

The total protein content was determined according to Bradford's dye binding method, and polyphenoloxidase (PPO) and peroxidase (POD) were extracted using Triton X-114 and characterised using spectrophotometric methods. The year had a statistically significant effect on all the studied parameters and there was an interannual correlation in the evolution of protein, PPO, POD and °Brix.
