The assessment of lymph node dimensions is a commonly used criterion in analyzing lymphatic involvement related to inflammatory or neoplastic diseases. However, it is important to understand that the interpretation of lymph nodes goes beyond simply considering their size. A pathologic lymph node can present with enlarged dimensions, a heterogeneous appearance, increased cortex thickness, irregular contours, or a lobulated shape.

Prospective studies comparing these three approaches are scarce in the current literature.

The Cecum Revisited: A Multimodality Imaging Case-based Review of Common and Uncommon Cecal Diseases.

A wide range of conditions involving the cecum may be found in patients undergoing imaging work-up for conditions as various as right lower pain, diarrhea, fever, and weight loss. The cecum may be the only area of involvement by a particular disease. However, it may also be affected by a more diffuse process of the gastrointestinal tract or even as part of systemic diseases.

Primary tumor resection of metastatic gastric cancer in a multimodal era: Two case reports.

Introduction: Although no consensus has been reached on the role of surgical treatment for metastatic gastric cancer, some reports suggest promising results on patients with a small disease volume upon presentation. Aim: To evaluate intra- and interobserver agreement in imaging features in inflammatory bowel disease and comparison with fecal calprotectin (FC) levels.

Methods: Our institutional computed tomography enterography (CTE) database was retrospectively queried to identify patients who underwent CTE from January 2014 to June 2015. Patient inclusion criteria were confirmed inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and FC collected < 4 mo after CTE without any change in clinical treatment or surgical treatment during this interval.
