A double-lip is an anomaly which may be either congenital or acquired and may occur either isolated or as a component of Ascher's syndrome. The upper lip is involved more often than the lower, although on occasion both may be involved. Apart from a deformity that interferes with mastication and speech, surgical treatment may be indicated for cosmetic reasons.
