[Pachydermoperiostosis (primary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy)].

Pachydermoperiostosis or primary hypertrophic osteoarthropathy is a rare disease characterized by cutaneous and osteoarthicular involvement. We describe two patients with finger clubbing, watch crystal nails, bones thickenings, arthritis and different grades of skin affection, without other clinical manifestations. Both did not know of having relatives with the same alterations.

Prevalence of thyroid autoimmunity in patients with pemphigus vulgaris.

Among bullous diseases, pemphigus vulgaris (PV) is a classical variety of this type of skin disorders. To establish the real prevalence of thyroid abnormalities in such a disease, a prospective study was developed. For this reason, thyroid evaluation was performed in 15 consecutive patients who attended the Dermatology Clinic for PV and in a group of 15 healthy volunteers (Control Group) matched by age and gender.

True histiocytic malignancies (THM) are controversial disorders that are being re-evaluated with modern cellular and molecular biology techniques. True histiocytic lymphoma (THL) is a low-incidence, poor-prognosis THM. It mainly affects the skin, gastrointestinal tract, and bone tissues.
