Background: The possibility of preventing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is becoming more plausible due to advances in understanding preclinical disease and successful prevention trials in other immune-mediated diseases, such as type 1 diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. However, before that possibility becomes reality, several efforts need to occur in parallel and in a coordinated way.
Aim: To propose some critical steps necessary for advancing the field of IBD prediction and prevention.
Ileoanal pouch-related fistula (IAPRF) is a possible complication after ileal pouch-anal anastomosis that significantly impacts pouch prognosis and the patient's quality of life. This study aimed to perform a comprehensive narrative review to better classify the epidemiology, risk factors, etiology, management, and outcomes of IAPRF, and to propose an algorithm for its systematic classification. Ten studies comprising 664 patients with IAPRF were identified, with a prevalence ranging from 4% to 45%.

Flexible esophagogastroduodenoscopy is the gold standard for removing FB of the upper gastrointestinal tract. However large sharped FB are usually challenging to remove and are the subtype that most often requires surgery. We describe a case of a patient with a dental prothesis impacted in the proximal oesophagus.
