We examined now an ultraweak thermalized neutron field (UTNF) affects the structural transformation in DNA macromolecules at room temperature. IR-spectroscopy, electrophoresis, and filtration through nitrocellulose filter measurements revealed that UTNF irradiation with a fluence of F(n) - 1.0 - 3.

The paper shows the informative value of a tremor signal to detect abnormalities in the formation of the neuromuscular system. Recording of the tremor signal was made with a piezoaccelerometric transducer, followed by its spectral analysis. The results of examinations of healthy children and children with various abnormalities were presented and discussed.

In rats with experimental hypertension, mesenteric artery revealed a hypersensitivity to noradrenaline whereas aorta did not differ from normal values of this parameter. The sensitivity of femoral artery was lowered. The microarterioles of hypertensive animals manifested a lower sensitivity to noradrenaline as well.

To minimize the side effect of porphyrin photosensitizers and to reduce their active concentration, chlorine e6 was conjugated with concanavalin A. Photodynamic action of chlorine e6 and concanavalin A-chlorine e6 conjugate has been studied in human skin embryonic fibroblasts. The conjugate appeared to be 5 times more effective as compared to chlorine e6 due to concanavalin A-chlorine e6 endocytosis into intracellular compartments.

Products of mitochondrial protein synthesis were specifically labeled with 3H-leucine in the presence of cycloheximide at the end of the exponential phase of yeast aerobic growth on glucose. The mitochondria isolated from these cells lost 37-40% of the label from the protein fraction during 60 min incubation at 35 degrees, which was accompanied by the accumulation of 3H-leucine in TCA-soluble fraction. This process was suppressed by phenyl-methyl sulfonyl fluoride and p-chloromercuriphenyl sulfonate, the inhibitors of proteases, and could thus be considered as the proteolysis of the products of mitochondrial protein synthesis.

A correlation between indices of the renal function before and after the operation has been made in patients with ulcerous disease and cancer of the gastrointestinal tract. It is the authors' opinion that a correction of the water-salt metabolism, adequate replacement of blood loss and some other measures prevent considerably the occurrence of renal insufficiency.
