The Trabocchi Coast in the Chieti district of the mid-Adriatic (Italy) is one of the few rocky areas within the General Fisheries Commission GSA 17, alongside Mount Conero (Ancona 43°00'01″ N 13°52'13″ E) and the small San Nicola Rock (Ascoli Piceno; 43°32'0″ N 13°36'0″ E). This coastline is known for its biodiversity-rich bays, inlets, and submerged cliffs. Since 2015, annual biodiversity surveys have been conducted in the area, focusing on marine species richness and the identification of non-native species.

Glioblastoma (GBL) is one of the more malignant primary brain tumors; it is currently treated by a multimodality strategy including surgery, and radio- and chemotherapy, mainly consisting of temozolomide (TMZ)-based chemotherapy. Tumor relapse often occurs due to the establishment of TMZ resistance, with a patient median survival time of <2 years. The identification of natural molecules with strong anti-tumor activity led to the combination of these compounds with conventional chemotherapeutic agents, developing protocols for integrated anticancer therapies.

In this study, we described a two-step process involving an efficient visible-light-induced decarboxylative borylation of α- and β-amino redox-active esters with bis(catecholato)diboron, followed by transamination with 1,8-diaminonapthalene (DANH). A series of boronamides were obtained in moderate to excellent yields in this one-pot procedure. The photochemical process proved to be very efficient even when conducted under flow conditions with shorter reaction durations and scalable synthesis of DAN boronates.

We report a BuOK-promoted synthesis of 1,3-dihydro-2-pyrrol-2-one and 4-methylenepyrrolidin-2-one systems like intramolecular cyclization. Background And Purpose: Traumatic brain injury (TBI) comprises a primary injury directly induced by impact, which progresses into a secondary injury leading to neuroinflammation, reactive astrogliosis, and cognitive and motor damage. To date, treatment of TBI consists solely of palliative therapies that do not prevent and/or limit the outcomes of secondary damage and only stabilize the deficits. The neurotrophin, nerve growth factor (NGF), delivered to the brain parenchyma following intranasal application, could be a useful means of limiting or improving the outcomes of the secondary injury, as suggested by pre-clinical and clinical data.

Over the last 20 years, the efforts to develop new therapies for Parkinson's disease (PD) have focused not only on the improvement of symptomatic therapy for motor and non-motor symptoms but also on the discovering of the potential causes of PD, in order to develop disease-modifying treatments. The emerging role of dysregulation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling in the onset and progression of PD, as well as of other neurodegenerative diseases (NDs), renders the targeting of this signaling an attractive therapeutic opportunity for curing this brain disorder.
