In this work, we use the electrical method to coat graphene oxide (GO) on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) glass. The coated GO was characterized by Raman spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The coated surface was monitored by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and atomic force microscope (AFM).

This paper reports solution-processed, high-efficiency polymer light-emitting diodes fabricated by a new type of roll-to-roll coating method under ambient air conditions. A noble roll-to-roll cohesive coating system utilizes only natural gravity and the surface tension of the solution to flow out from the capillary to the surface of the substrate. Because this mechanism uses a minimally cohesive solution, the roll-to-roll cohesive coating can effectively realize an ultra-thin film thickness for the electron injection layer.

Article Synopsis
  • The WAW multilayer consists of WO3/Ag/WO3 and serves as a transparent anode for polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs), offering both high optical and electrical properties.
  • The fabrication process is simplified using a solution method for WO3 that allows for rapid and efficient production in an air environment, avoiding the expensive multi-step vacuum methods.
  • Experimental results show that the WAW multilayer achieves high transmittance (85%) and low sheet resistance (4 Ω/sq), enabling PLEDs to reach impressive luminance levels of 35,550 cd/m² at 8 V.
