[Probe for decompression of the bowel].

Two-lumen probe for decompression of the bowel after resection of the colon is proposed. At the final stage of the operation the probe is led though the bowel and above the completed anastomosis, and its end introduced into the ileum, where it is fixed by the inflated cuff. In these conditions the ileal content is passing along the inner tube and is coming out, escaping the anastomosis; the lumen of the colon at that time is being irrigated by antiseptic solutions through another channel of the probe.

[Prevention abdominal contamination by napkin in performance of colonic anastomosis].

A special napkin for performance of colonic anastomosis is proposed. The napkin represents a piece of cellophane with the side cuttings, ending with 2 orifices of 3 cm in diameter. 2 tubes are installed into the piece of cellophane on the upper and lower sides.

[Treatment of complicated forms of paronychia by using the electrophoresis of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial preparations].

The work presents an analysis of treatment of patients with complicated forms of panaritium. To increase the efficiency of treatment the authors used certain physical factors, in particular, direct electric current--interstitial (intracavitary) electrophoresis of antimicrobial and antiinflammatory agents in complex therapy. The investigation of results of the treatment shows sufficiently high efficiency of the interstitial (intracavitary) electrophoresis.

[Treatment of suppurative mastitis using laser irradiation and continuous electric current].

Laser radiation and direct electric current were used in the complex therapy of acute suppurative mastitis. The wound cavity was treated by a focussed laser till the appearance of a coagulation crust followed by galvanization of the mammary gland. Such an approach to the associated application of the laser radiation and electric field of direct current is justified pathogenetically and increases the efficiency of treatment of suppurative mastitis.
