We have grown (111)- and (001)-oriented NiO thin films on (0001)-Sapphire and (001)-MgO substrates using pulsed laser deposition (PLD), respectively. DC magnetic susceptibility measurements underline that the Néel temperatures of the samples are beyond room-temperature. This is further confirmed by the presence of two-magnon Raman scattering modes in these films in ambient conditions.

Patients' body fat distribution may vary and body mass index (BMI) does not provide sufficient information about adipose tissue thickness of the lower extremities. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between thigh diameters and early postoperative prosthesis-related joint infections (PJI) in patients who underwent arthroplasty.

Although significant progress has been made in understanding the physiological and molecular mechanisms involved in desiccation tolerance, recovery mechanisms after prolonged desiccation periods are enigmatic. Combining physiological, biochemical, transcriptomic and metabolomic approaches, we investigated the role of prolonged desiccation on recovery of Selaginella bryopteris.

They have attributes like photostability, high quantum yield (QY), high emission, and scalability. In the recent past, theranostic-CDs have been widely used in sensing, imaging, and medication administration.

The present study deals with the in-silico analyses of several flavonoid derivatives to explore COVID-19 through pharmacophore modelling, molecular docking, molecular dynamics, drug-likeness, and ADME properties. The initial literature study revealed that many flavonoids, including luteolin, quercetin, kaempferol, and baicalin may be useful against SARS β-coronaviruses, prompting the selection of their potential derivatives to investigate their abilities as inhibitors of COVID-19. The findings were streamlined using in silico molecular docking, which revealed promising energy-binding interactions between all flavonoid derivatives and the targeted protein.

Takotsubo syndrome is a stress-induced cardiomyopathy that can mimic MI. Catecholamine surge during stress can contribute to Takotsubo syndrome, but whether this surge can trigger an inconspicuous myocardial bridging to manifest symptomatically remains unclear, and alternately, whether a myocardial bridge might cause worsening of Takotsubo syndrome is also a matter that needs further research.

The specialized technological solutions for telecare - the use of technologies for care at a distance - are often adopted by users in different ways than intended, or are abandoned if the users cannot find applications that are meaningful to them. However, beyond specialized healthcare technologies, people are incorporating mundane digital technologies into their (health)care practices.

There is a paucity of data pertaining to electroencephalograms (EEG) characteristics in this cohort. We hypothesized that the incidence of background abnormalities and seizures in this cohort would be high.

Herein, we report a single step synthesis of highly fluorescent Graphene Quantum Dots (GQDs) using tryptophan and glycerol as precursors via pyrolysis. The morphological and functional characterization of the prepared GQDs was performed using PXRD, FTIR, TEM, XPS and zeta potential measurements. The prepared GQDs found their practical application in ultrasensitive detection of an emerging potential cancer biomarker, HO, by exploiting the fluorescence quenching behaviour of HO.

However, there is no standard regarding the amount of use of purple carrot, which is the major raw material in production and affects the fermentation and aroma compounds of the product. This present research was designed to examine the effect of purple carrot concentrations on aroma compounds, which are one of the most important characteristics that reflect the quality characteristics of shalgam and affect consumer preferences.

Among these pollutants, arsenic stands out as a particularly severe threat to human health, significantly compromising the overall quality of life. Despite widespread awareness of the harmful effects of arsenic poisoning, there remains a scarcity of literature on the utilization of biobased polymers as sustainable alternatives for comprehensive arsenic removal in practical concern.

We prove, for arbitrary dimension, that if a state is CPTP-local passive with respect to a Hamiltonian, then an arbitrary number of copies of the same state-including an asymptotically large one-is also CPTP-local passive. We show further that energy can be extracted efficiently from CPTP-local passive states employing noncompletely positive trace-preserving (NCPTP) but still physically realizable maps on the same part of the shared battery on which operation of CPTP maps were useless.

Diabetic retinopathy is governed by abnormal apoptosis, increased capillary pressure, and other linked pathology that needs an efficient treatment by multitargeted approaches. Thus, the current study aimed to explore the potential of inhibition of targeted enzymes (DPP4, ACE-2, and aldose reductase) and free radical scavenging capabilities of selected compounds (nafronyl or naftidrofuryl) through in silico and in vivo investigations. Significant binding energies were observed in complexes of aldolase reductase, angiotensin type 1 receptor, and DPP4 against the nafronyl and sitagliptin more than -7.
