Aim: This study aimed to synthesize and characterize a novel -GMA analog, termed P--GMA, through structural modification by replacing hydroxyl (-OH) groups with phosphonooxy [-O-P(=O)(OH)] groups and to evaluate and compare its viscosity with -GMA.

Materials And Methods: -GMA, triethylamine, dichloromethane, and phosphoryl chloride were utilized for the synthesis of P--GMA through phosphorylation. Fourier discerned the chemical structure of the synthesized P--GMA transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and its viscosity was assessed by rheometry in oscillatory shear mode over a frequency sweep range of 0.

Background: The goal for placement of intracanal medicament during pulpal therapy procedures is to eradicate the bacteria and the exotoxins from the infected root canal, thereby preventing and controlling pulpal and periradicular infections. Chemo-mechanical preparation is considered an essential step in root canal disinfection; but to accomplish the total elimination of bacteria in highly complex root canal anatomy is difficult. Intracanal medicaments help eliminate bacteria by remaining in the root canal, and calcium hydroxide has been recommended as one of the most effective antimicrobial dressings during endodontic therapy.

Aim: To compare the efficacy of chewing gum containing casein phosphopeptide-amorphous calcium phosphate (CPP-ACP) and xylitol on salivary characteristics in 8-10 years old children with molar incisor hypomineralization.

Materials And Methods: A randomized controlled trial using CPP-ACP chewing gums (group I) and xylitol chewing gums (group II) was conducted among 32 children affected with mild molarincisor hypomineralization (MIH). Salivary flow rate, pH and buffering capacity were measured using saliva check kit (GC America).

Background: Air abrasion of the implant abutment surface improves the bond strength of luting agents. However, the effect of acid etching and combination of air abrasion and acid etching on the bond strength of various luting agents under masticatory load is yet to be documented.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of implant abutment surface modifications on the tensile bond strength (TBS) of cast metal copings (CMCs) luted with different luting agents, subjected to cyclic fatigue loads.

Premature loss of teeth in children leads to space loss and affects arch integrity. The band and loop space maintainer is used in majority of patients requiring single tooth space maintenance in both primary and mixed dentitions. It preserves the proximal dimensions, but it is nonfunctional.
